First I am a mother. My First caregiving experiences my children were little and I was no longer taking care of children in my home I helped a lady down the street with her mother. Greeting families! Helping and being an enthusiast are some things that help me to be a great caregiver. Growing up, I assisted in nurturing my 7 siblings and that was one of the things that attracted me to become a caregiver. I loved beautifying, nourishing, teaching and creating a safe and lively environment for them to live in. Another thing that attracted me to become a caregiver was seeing how calm and relaxed my grandma and mom would become when I combed their hair or lotion their feet. It brought me such joy to see them drift off to sleep with a gentle tough. I am proud of my ability to listen to others and teach the elderly in my church, community and family how to become phone and internet savvy.
