I grew up in a small town in Utah. My grandparents lived around the corner from my and I spent many years helping them so they could live at home. By helping them sparked my interest in nursing. While I was in high school, I completed my CNA and worked as one for 3 years. I got accepted in nursing school at SUU and have been an RN for almost 2 years now. I love being a nurse, and I currently do pediatric home care! My name is Holly Wiseman. I have been working with individuals who struggle with daily tasks for almost a year now in a professional setting, and my whole life outside of one. My freshman year of high school there was a student who struggled with autism. I helped her do daily tasks, schoolwork, and eventually in-home tutoring. In the mix of this, my grandmother was also struggling with Alzheimer's and dementia. My family did not have the funds to hire in home health. Therefore, I would travel to help her daily, with bathing, eating, cleaning, and cooking. over the next 7 years from when she was diagnosed, I helped her every day. Even though it wasn't an ideal situation, I found comfort and joy in the idea of helping others. When I turned 18, I then joined professional settings where I found health care as my calling. This was the start of my love for In home love. The benefit of seeing others thrive and grow is something more than money itself. Knowing I can help others with obstacles they're facing, crested a huge impact on not only them, but myself included.

I am a caring and compassionate individual that comes with seven years experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant working in various expanses from Skilled nursing facilities to physical rehabilitation facilities to hospitals and home health. I decided in 2016 that it would be a good idea to advance my career in the medical field and became a Certified Medical assistant starting out in urgent care/family practice to move into Cardiology practice which I have enjoyed over the past two years (Between Montana and in St. George UT). Sadly in 2018 I did let my Certified Nursing Assistant certificate expire, so I would be a personal care attendent in this capacity doing the same thing as a CNA. Since I have started the pre-requisits for Nursing in 2021 at Dixie state University to regain my certification is in the works. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my family has been in the medical field for three generations so I am following suite. I took care of my grandparents for four years prior to becoming a CNA. Then I was encourage by my family to get my certificate and continue on. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the ability to meet people on their needs and fulfilling what missing and helping them through some of the most difficult times in their life. Something that I am most proud of is seeing my patients leave with a smile when they are confronted with challenges and helping them transition from chaos thinking to clear avenues of thoughts and peace.
