I currently live on a small hobby farm that includes horses, a donkey, chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits and even a turkey. I spend quite a bit of time vegetable and fruit gardening and enjoy a variety of crafts. I am also a volunteer at the local senior center. I am married, with 5 grown children and 6 grandchildren, and am fortunate enough to still have both my parents! My specialties are Cancer Care, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, Post-Acute, Memory Care, and Hospice Care. I have an innate ability to anticipate the needs of my client, both emotionally and physically. I am open and approachable, and am able to comfortably converse with my client based on their interests and experiences. I'm known for giving great baths and showers and I'm nurse delegation certified, so I can assist with catheters, insulin, wound care and more. I have a clean, dependable car and insurance. I am willing to transport to appointments, outings and events or just stay home together. Hi, I wanted to give you a little info about me and what I can do to help you or a loved one. I am very compassionate, patient, attentive, and reliable. I enjoy working with elderly patients. I helped take care of my parents and parents in law until their deaths. I have also helped many other over the years with everything from cooking, cleaning, transportation to appointments and grocery shopping. Toileting, assisting with mobility, bathing, medicatiom reminders, and more. I like to take the time to get to know my elders and to understand what they like, dislike, and to make life as comfortable for them as I am able. I understand that some have difficulties with accepting help and will give them as much independence as is safe and allowable according to their specific limitation and needs. I am there to help not take over and to assist and protect to the best of my abilities.
