I've been a caregiver on and off for the past 20 years I've worked with Developmentally disables individuals children, paraplegic quadriplegic guys and girls, and elderly from just very minor help to hospice. I've got experience in medication administrstion, transfering, I know how to follow service plans. I enjoy being a caregiver because I like to help people that can't do for themselves. Hi, I wanted to give you a little info about me and what I can do to help you or a loved one. I am very compassionate, patient, attentive, and reliable. I enjoy working with elderly patients. I helped take care of my parents and parents in law until their deaths. I have also helped many other over the years with everything from cooking, cleaning, transportation to appointments and grocery shopping. Toileting, assisting with mobility, bathing, medicatiom reminders, and more. I like to take the time to get to know my elders and to understand what they like, dislike, and to make life as comfortable for them as I am able. I understand that some have difficulties with accepting help and will give them as much independence as is safe and allowable according to their specific limitation and needs. I am there to help not take over and to assist and protect to the best of my abilities.

I am an NAR (soon to be CNA) studying to get my RN. I currently work TH - Sat nights 9pm -7am. Looking to help someone and be there for a client a few hours a week and make a difference.

When my mother was passing from cancer, I watched her care team take such great care of her. I was deeply touched by that kindness and I realized that is what I wanted to do. I wanted to go to work and help people to feel safe, comfortable, and to help brighten their day. I have loved every minute of my career thus far, even the rough days. It is where my heart truly is.

I believe that to work in this field you have to have compassion, understanding, patience and a love for helping others. I possess all of those and more. I love being able to to help families take care of their loved ones and allowing them to remain in their homes.

Hello my name is Karla, I have been a caregiver since 1998. Besides caregiving I also have a love for animals, dogs, cats, horses, etc. I live on a small farm in Vader. I knew I wanted to be a caregiver when I was 16, my grandfather moved in with us and we hired hospice to help us care for him. I was in awe of the help we recieved from these wonderful ladies. I worked in a hospital for 20 years. I started out in housekeeping then went to school to recieve my Certified Nurses Aide certificate for Washington state. I have worked in many aspects for the hospital from babies to hospice, emergency room to recovery. I choose to do in home health care when I moved to Vader. I enjoy in home caregiving because I get to meet very interesting clients and families. I enjoy the slower pace of caring for a client one on one. From bathing, playing games, Dr appointments, cooking and cleaning their homes. I am happy to do what it takes to keep your family member safe and happy in their home environment.

I love helping people, my heart is all in when I'm caring for my clients/patients. I can build strong relationships with the harder to care for clients, troubleshoot how to care for dementia/alzheimer patients rather quickly like for an example we had a dementia patient that had not had his teeth brushed in 6 months. I worked with his wife to get him a toothbrush and toothpaste that he used at home, he finally let us help do dental hygiene.
