Hi my name is Tina and I have been a caregiver for over 16 years. I started after taking care of my grandma who had lung cancer. I also took care of my mom and dad before they passed away this year. So I have a compassion and a passion for the elderly and their families! I have experience with dementia patients. Memory care, daily hygiene, cooking and preparing meals. I have experience with dialysis exchanges. Diabetes care, wound care and transferring. I do love to work with the elderly and do it as if I'm working with my own family.

Devoting most of my time to the care of someone else is one of the most selfless things someone can do, but it's not only about the time involved. Being able to understand the person you're caring for, knowing their problems, challenges and desires will not only make it easier to care for them, but will undoubtedly improve the relationship you have with each other. Empathy is a big aspect of that, and being able to put yourself in someone else's shoes and be empathetic will only increase the quality of care you're providing.As instrumental as caregivers are, communication is key. It can be something as simple as going through the day's schedule, or complicated as discussing health concerns, but no matter what it is, it must be done well. Subpar communication will do nothing beneficial for the relationship, and in fact, could damage it. Furthermore, as it's likely there's more than one caregiver in the individual's life, and because of all the moving parts, communication is key to get information to all the relevant parties. Whether it's relaying health information or just remaining congenial, communication between caregivers is important, second only to communicating with the individual.

If worked in the medical field for 20 yrs. I'm a very passionate person. The hours are flexible. I achieved learning all about cardiac. I have a clean driving record.

I am Compassionate also I have the Ability to show Empathy and understanding, it Helps me at being a great caregiver. One reason I became a care giver is because I enjoy taking care of elderly family members and would like to help others in need the same way I help my family members. Also I love being able to make a difference in peoples lives .

I have been a caregiver off and on for the last 25 years. I'm easy going yet professional. Know CPR and first aid certified. Was going to school to become a teacher but changed my mind. I like being a clinical nurse and a positive provider.
