I have more than 10 years experience as a caregiver. I have taken care of my grandparents and my mom. In most of my seniors would sit and talk, go outside, gardening, play boards, take care of their pets. If they needed help bathing, grooming, cooking, cleaning, reminding them if they took their medication. I would do whatever the senior needs from me. I'm really good at what I do and it shows.

I thoroughly love what I do. I enjoy working with my clients, which become like family to me. My clients needs and comfort are my number one priority. I am dependable and responsible. After taking care of my mother and father in law who were both treated for cancer. I saw the emotional and physical toll that it takes. I decided that I wanted to help other families with the support they need to take care of their loved ones when in need.

I have been working in the medical field for over 25 years..I became a caregiver to my first clientt in 2011 and soon realized I was meant to do Caregiving to our Special Seniors or whomever may need this type of care .My first client eventually was in a nursing home for a period of 1 month. During that time, I had the desire to return to school and became a CNA. I truly enjoyed all the training and the experience that I received. I acquired a job with Visiting Angels in 2013. I have had some awesome experiences working with our senior citizens. I also have a daughter who is now 18 and has had a medical condition since she was 5 months old. I believe all of the experiences that I have had help me to be a very compassionate caregiver to my clients and my clients family. I at times have stayed in touch with family members even after their loved one has passed away. I have been working as a Nursing Assistant at our local Hospital for over a year and a half..I Love my position in taking care of those who need help while in the hospital..My daughter is now 20 and my oldest 23..Each BLESS my life daily!!

I am a reliable and patient person who provides first class care. I have worked in various roles where the need to work closely with other people, follow strict rules and procedures and demonstrate understanding and empathy have been required. Caregiving has been a rewarding second career. After retiring from the banking industry, my sister who has been an RN for many years inspired me to follow down this path. It is a very rewarding experience, helping people in need and being there for their families.

I became a caregiver because of 2 main reasons. 1st is I believe that being a caregiver brings spiritual treasures that will not spoil or be taken away. As a hospice aid for 7 years I realized that we or our spirit belongs to a place where we will no longer suffer. 2nd I always pray for my time when my body also become old and fragile. When that time comes I will also like to be treated the same way I treated my client, with respect, compassion and care. The thing I like about caregiver is the joy that I get after the client passes away and hear from family and friends that I have done a good job. The personal achievement that I can say was from my last case with a couple in Los Altos where the husband died. I was live-in for five days and at the final days of the client I remained with him all night and called the children early in the morning to come and say their final respect to their Father. And surely it was his last day and the children was so appreciative of it. Just a quote from his recommendation letter "It is my absolute pleasure to write this recommendation letter. What makes myself a great caregiver is I am compassionate, caring,patient,empathetic,and loving, I enjoy what I do for others. What encouraged my choice to do caregiving, My Father, he had a massive CVA in 2009 and since then my experience has driven me more towards helping not only family but those who need it. My biggest accomplishment in being a caretaker is the priceless moments of appreciation with my clients and there families.

i became a caregiver because at a young age my grandfather passed away from cancer seeing the nurses and caregivers come and go helping him out made me want to return the same favor. i enjoy care giving because i get to hear stories from the past and i get to have a bond with the client and family as well but i have to keep professional. i also worked for schools as a teachers assistant working with students with disabilities so it encouraged me to look into care giving , and knowing that im giving back and helping the family out. my personal achievement im proud of is that i dont give up with what ever obstetrical comes my way and i keep moving forward. i enjoy being with my family and loved ones spending quality time together and just having fun. i enjoy cutting hair mens hair and im looking to get into barber school some time soon.

Hi my name is Jennifer Helland Betancourt I'm 46 years old . I started babysitting when I was 12 did that for a year but then my mom got sick so I took care of my mom for 16 years from 13 to 29 I took care of my mom she had a nerve decease was in a lot of pain she was in a wheelchair needed help with everything getting in and out of wheel chair or bed , bathing ,feeding, dressing , cleaning, cooking, shopping driving to Dr apt helping her with medication. I loved being there for my mom when she needed me I have two beautiful children a daughter you is 22 and a son who is 18 my daughter was three when mom passed in 2004 I also have a husband who iv been with since I was 13 we've been together for 32 years we got married in 1997 I was 20 .The thing I love about being a caregiver is companionship sometimes people just don't want to be alone and they like to talk . I have always been open and talkative when needed . Like when my grandparents were alive I used to just go over there to spend time with them talk to them about there past or just doing what they felt up to doing .I no they really enjoyed that . I have had other jobs when my kids were little mortgage broker ,tax office , manager for 60 people . But iv always loved helping people when they need it .
