I became a caregiver because I've always wanted to help others. Especially when my grandma got diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease it made me want to work with patients with that disease even more. I'm a small town country girl, who has always had an interest in health care. While in high school, I volunteered at hospitals and nursing homes. After high school I continued on to Bennett College and studied Biology for about a year. Shortly After returning home I received a job with a home health care facility. Being a nurse has always been the career for me. I'm currently employed part time with ResCare and attending the CNA program, upon completion I intend on going back to school to become a RN (registered nurse).
