I became a caregiver because I've always wanted to help others. Especially when my grandma got diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease it made me want to work with patients with that disease even more. I enjoy seeing my patients/clients feel like they have accomplished a goal or a step towards their goals. I also like making them feel like someone cares for them and has their best interest at heart. What makes me a great caregiver is that I understand what a family us going through being that I helped care for my grandparents. I have been certified since 1997 but my experience from caring for my family members has been since my teenage years. And knowing that others depend on me to care for their love ones is what I love to do. Getting to know and understand ones family is getting to know the individual who is needing care.
