I'm a very cheerful person who enjoys caring for others. I became a caregiver in 2018 and thought I'm not sure if this is for me but we will see! Well 4 almost 5 years Later I love what I do no matter the person, age or problems they have Being able to help someone and be their friend at the same time make me enjoy my work much more. Being a healthcare worker is more than just a job/career to me it's my life and I enjoy every bit of it. My most recent achievement I am proud of as a caregiver was helping an elderly lady a couple of houses down from me and she had fallen outside there was no one around to help her at the time, my family and I had come home from a night out so I put my children in the house and ran over to make sure she was okay and proceeded to help her up check her scratches and bruises out and help her inside her home. It was actually the same lady who gave me a hard time at one point but that time nothing else mattered.

Others as well ad myself would say that I am a very outgoing and optimistic individual. I love to laugh and bring joy to others in any way that I can. My passion for caregiving began when I was a young girl. Always wanting to help others. The things I enjoy most is feeling and knowing that I somehow accomplished helping someone's day be better.

I believe the traits that help you achieve being a great caregiver are always being kind and compassionate, understanding, and do everything with care. I was attracted to being a caregiver at a young age, I've always loved to help people and when my grandmother got sick I was always there to help. It's just an instinct I've always had. The things I enjoy most about caregiving is the love that comes from it, regardless if the day went by smooth or if it was a bumpy one you can always go home knowing you helped someone else out. One of the main achievements for me at this point in my life is just that I make it home at night and wake up the next morning. Tomorrow isn't promised so just being here is an achievement.

Hello! I am a graduate from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor's of Science in Sociology. After graduating I worked for about 5 years with families and children who have emotional disabilities. Since then I have volunteered with the elderly and worked a summer at Sealevel transporting residents. I've been told I'm very patient and empathetic and I believe that's very important with caregiving. Helping others is very rewarding and fulfills a sense of purpose in me.

My expertise that helps me be a great caregiver is I've personally experienced how it is to have a loved one who needed extra help in their daily life. I think that is important because I know how to show patients correct love and care. I am very kind, hard working, and thorough. Being able to put a smile on someone's face really makes my day. Knowing that the patient and family trusts me to take care of them just makes me feel happy on the inside because I am able to give back to my elders. Back when I worked in an assisted living facility, one of the patients were choking on their food. I immediately did the Heimlich maneuver on them and because of that, I saved his life!

Hello! I'm a single mom of 2 teenagers. I served 14 years in the Air Force as an medical technician in the eye clinics. After separating from the military, I completed a BS in Psychology degree and started a Master's in Behavioral Health, however I went through a very difficult divorce and stopped school until I was mentally able to dedicate my time fully. Know I plan on starting back in January 2024 to complete a Master's in Social Work. I enjoy caring for others because it reminds me of the time I sent with my grandparents, and I get a great sense of honor knowing I'm helping someone that needs it.
