I became interested in the healthcare field while serving as a missionary in Guatemala where I worked with poor people living in the mountains, garbage dumps, and street children hooked on glue. Many times after serving I would come home crying because of the plight of the people I served but I love reaching out to help others and served for four years. Here in New York City at one time I also worked with homeless people living in shelters and in the parks. I have worked in nursing homes in Florida and in homecare in New York City. I love being a caregiver, impacting humanity in a positive way as I help to improve and maintain health. Each and every individual that I serve is important to me and I treat him/her with respect, and dignity. I am a hard worker, patient, kind hearted, honest, and reliable. I attended college and the knowledge and skills I received in school have equipped me with the means to better care for clients. I have provided holistic wellness and hospice comfort for seniors in their homes since 2017. By holistic, I mean to include the care of the spirit, soul, and body. I like to motivate and help seniors to find joy in daily life. I guide the client to work through daily challenges and to have peace in their hearts! I love to cook and bake from scratch from different cultures. I also provide light cleaning, doctor's appointments, essential transport, etc. Each client has their healthcare needs and may have a specific health condition. This is very important and discussed thoroughly from the beginning, and I maintain a dynamic routine custom planned for each client, with primary consideration and communication with their medical provider. I include exercise and encourage a walk in the fresh air as possible. I love challenges and love to meet my clients' needs. My goal is to make seniors and their families happy. I have experience with Dementia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's disease. Also, with Depression, loneliness, and grief. I helped veterans, and I am familiar with the needs of Kosher homes.
