I am a mature, friendly, intelligent and fun woman. I have been a caregiver to different family members and lastly to my own mother. She passed away in 2008 from Alzheimer's and liver cancer. I provided much of the care as my mother was a private person. It was rewarding and I learned alot with the AD support group. I am retired from a career as a health plan worker and would now like to help those in need of companionship, health plan knowledge for appointment setting, rides to appointments and other chores that they may need. I spent as much time as possible after retirement, at the nursing home where my aunt was living. I spoke of family history, showed her pictures, played her favorite music and took her out to the garden area. She loved flowers. There are many elderly who are in need of companionship and I am available to provide that.

My expertise include being a certified CNA nurse for over 20 years .I have worked in different nursing homes and rehab centers caring for my elders .I have been donn in g this type of care giving for a while and love working with elders .I mostly enjoy spending time with them and helping them out as much as possible.My personal achievement is that I'm certified to work in a nursing home or as a private caregiver .

I like taking care of others because it reminds me of the time I used to take care of my grandmother and spend time with her either during good times or bad times.
