My grandfather took sick and he got treated so horribly in a Care home I decided to take care of him myself until his heavenly call. I feel in love with the thought same care needed from the elder and those who could not care for themselves.

I am an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with more than two decades of experience in the healthcare professions as both a Registered Nurse in Colombia and a Certified Nurse Assistant in the United States. In my most recent job, I worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant who provided outstanding healthcare services to residents at Heartis of Waco Assisted Living and Memory Care. Prior to moving to the United States in 2008, I worked for more than 8 years as a surgical room nurse in a cosmetic surgery clinic in my native country of Colombia. Additionally, I possess strong attention to detail and am able to keep accurate and concise written service records. My interpersonal and communication skills are outstanding: I am fluent in Spanish and proficient in English, and I am adept at helping people to open up and to feel at ease. Patients have told me on many occasions that they feel comfortable talking to me about some of their deepest personal matters and feel confident that I will provide assistance to them without judgment. I have five years prior experience as a CNA and have worked in both a hospital environment and also a handful of Long Term Care facilities. I was a travel CNA my last two years of work so I got to travel many different places locally to help with care in my area! I take great pride in my work as a caregiver and think that every person should be treated like family. I took a short break from healthcare and ventured out only to realize that this is my true calling! I love caring for people, its so rewarding for me!!!

About Me, I have been a caregiver for over 15 years, first in a nursing home in my home town of Hillsboro, TX.. I worked as a CNA and also the Business Office for 10 years in the same facility. Then I tried Hospice care for about a year. Then I was a private sitter for a year and a half to an eldery woman. I have a passion for taking care of others who need it! The thing I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is being able to help someone's loved one and put a smile on their face. My personal achievement that I'm proud of is being a CNA.

I worked at a CNA since I was 16 years old. I have been around the medical field. Caring for elderly and dementia patients for at least thirthere's. I have set as a volunteer with hospice friends. And for the present company that I work for. I'm a very dedicated employee that loves to take care of her patients and once they become my patients, I become very. I'm not saying I love what I'll do and I'm very good at it. How are the people interrupting me can happen and I love to move around especially once I don't have much family Overprotective and overprotective of them. I am very observant. I know how to be cautious and what I do I mean. Giving their medicines reminding them, helping them 1 day. Forget things helping them even to exercise. When I don't even have to PT. I become very hands-on with their family. So they can trust me and the client can trust me as well. I don't do this just for a paycheck. I do this because I love what I do and love giving back to people that need our help. I'm very compassionate and what I do.. Just reinsuring the family that they can count on me. And knowing that they can be at ease when they leave. Their loved ones with me is my reward I feel.

Family is most important to me and I understand how important it is to have a caring, loving person taking care of loved ones. I have cared for family members on a long term basis. One had a heart attack then a stroke and needed complete care for over 3 years. Another has cancer and needed care for over a year. I always approach my responsibilities with care and compassion, remembering to treat other as I would like to be treated.
