I was raised up caring for people beginning in my own family. At the nudging of my mother, I became an LVN in 1985. After the passing of my father, I neglected to keep my LVN license current but remained in the field of caring. I enjoy helping others accomplish their day as well as family members observing positive change in a homebound loved one. I have a long history in caring which include but not limited to, psych care, dementia, hearing and vision impairment, physical disabilities and so on. I take my work seriously and respect individuals for who they are as well as what they may be going through.

It all stared when I was 13 years old my grandmother had dementia. I hope take care of her during this summer, and came back every weekend to be with her.. I love a challenge. I love people. I've been doing home health care on and off for the last 10 years.

I have always had a caregiving nature. I've always been the one to watch the room for the underdog and to take care of the sickly. I'm compassionate yet Strong. I'm also thick skinned, so mood swings do not affect me on a personal level. I've been involved in multiple types of care ranging from child care as I am also a mother of three, senior care, post-surgery (All ages-mandatory and elective), care Hospice care, respite relief care. My personality is energized and empathetic.

I am always talking to the client smiling laughing with them letting them know that I'm always there for them I have great people personality. I like working with older people because they are really intelligent and fun to get to know they can also teach you things when you can also teach them things. The thing that I enjoy most about them is because even though they have dementia or anything like that it's still something you can help them with. The thing that I am proud of is being the fun person that I am and also smiling.

I started off taking care of my husband's grandmother in her home at first I was scared because I never done it before but after a few months it was the most amazing job I could ever have! It gave me a chance to get to know the patient and spend time with them learn their ways of living but the best thing I loved about it was listening to her life story it was so incredible after 6 months she passed away and it was the hardest thing about that job but I felt so good to be there for her and help her with anything she needed!! After that I fell in love with the idea of being a caregiver so I started a career in the health care field I started working when my daughter was 8 months old and have been a caregiver every since ...I love the elderly and when you get to know these people you learn that most the time you are all they have they look for you to take care of them to come see them spend time with them love them like they are your own family cause really I feel like we're all they have being a caregiver is the best thing anyone can do its an amazing feeling to be able to love other people they become your family!! And I wouldn't want it any other way

The traits that help me to become a great caregiver is to be compassionate, loving, dependable, and trustworthy. Things that attracted me to be a caregiver is I enjoy talking with elder people and more so because I was the helping hand for my grandmother before her passing. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the one on one conversations I have with my patient speaking on past life and obstacles they went through in life and how they survived. My personal achievement is I was able to nurse one of past patients back to health in the length of 3 wks to a month

I'm very compassionate when helping my patients. I always had the passion to help the elderly and special needs. What I enjoy the most about being a CNA / Caregiver is being able to come to work with a positive attitude and smile on my face and loving what I was called to do. One achievement I am proud of is becoming a Medical Assistant and graduating from college also as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.I have also worked at Reach unlimited learning and Activities center with special needs in the cypress area for 3 years. I have worked in group homes . I work living assistant ,Hospice and Memory Care.
