I have a certificate as a cna and have worked in different health care settings for 5yrs. I enjoy helping other people and providing patient care. My goal is to keep patient as safe and comfortable as possible while helping keep their rooms clean. I change linens and assist with medication reminders.

I became a caregiver because i really love taking care of people. I am a nursing graduate in the Philippines. So definitely i love healthe care jobs. I am a proud health care worker because my clients are happy when they are with me. They know i really care for them. . I am simple, responsible, hardworking, passionate person. I am not just working just to get money. I work with care and passion.

When I became a lifeguard, I got a taste of being able to help someone who is helpless and cannot save themselves. I quickly realized that the medical field is for me. I began to strive for more and made it my life goal to be a nurse. I became a CNA because it's a great stepping stone into the medical field and when I realized how good it feels to help individuals improve on their health, I fell in love with the job. I am proud of my title and love what I do. One achievement that I have in this field is that I nursed (along with the help of PT) an elderly gentleman back on his feet after a major fall. This job is not for everyone, but I couldn't have chosen a better one.

1. I became a caregiver because I want to give back to the elderly that once loved and took care of me when I was younger. 2. I like the mere fact that when I assist the elderly, I'm able to make a difference in their life. For instance, I love to see them smile and that they can feel safe with me. In addition, I love to sit down and hear the stories the elderly has to say. 3. My personal achievement that I am proud of, is that I'm giving my certified nursing skills to someone that really cares and needs my help. 4. I am very compassionate and love to listen to people on what they have to say. Whether it makes sense or not. In addition, I'm a very hard worker, don't mind change, and flexible. I like to be a team player and utilize my knowledge where needed.

I have 30 years in healthcare and have also worked in the School district with Lifeskills students. I am HCA certified and have ALL my certs plus food handlers, fundamentals, CPR/First aide. I have been in the healthcare field for 30 plus years and I love it! I have worked with a variety of individuals from young to old with Downs, ALS, Dementia, Special needs. I have also worked for the KSD and in family homes and facilities. I have CPR/First aid/fundamentals in caregiving/food handlers/various certs in continuing education. I love learning from my friends I work with at the same time I'm helping them! I also just Graduated Charter College with my Medical Assistant Certification and im doing online classes for my AA in Allied Health.

The health care field became a calling to me, when I became unhappy with the manner in which my father was being cared. I saw that most were not willing travel, as well. I was slowly able to get trained while still assisting with his care. I can empathize with patients and their families because I have been on both sides. When working with a patient, that patient is not just a number - and I will do whatever I can to help. Quite often, I am called into situations where a nurse/caregiver/health aide, etc. Has quit, did not show or had an emergency of some sort. This gives families flexibility. I want to help as much as I possibly can, in order to assist with the patient feeling as well as possible as well as the family. This includes asssisting on trips. This way the family can enjoy their time together. I also assist pre and post op, with patients, so they can get home as soon as they are ready. I have also worked with patients loved ones who need someone to stay with their spouse or relative who may be incapacitated by Alzheimers, Parkinson's disease, and many other diseases. My goal is to work with everyone.

I think some of my expertise would be giving care to residents I have done it for about 3 years now. I know how to do transfers very well. I love to be on time everyday and have things get done. That might be a issue but it's just that I like to be very clean and make the place look like a home. I personally had my grandma pass with breast cancer and I was with her everyday since she was diagnosed and it inspired me to help other and she would tell me she would see me as a caregiver. What I enjoy the most of being a caregiver, it would be when I get to Meet all residents and we get to bond and see them happy and then telling you we make their day extra better! That makes me feel super happy just to hear it coming from them.
