I became a caregiver because my grandmother had cancer. The hospice nurse she had was a wonderful person and helped us so much. After that I was inspired to provide that type of care to others. I've enjoyed taking care of others and helping people live out their day with my help. I make it a point to get my clients out and about in the community instead of staying at home all day. I re-introduce passions my clients once had into the care I provide. I feel that seniors should have an immense amount of attention because they deserve that and more.

I found my calling after years of taking care of my elderly parents and also my own family. I took a job near my home assisting a RN and an LVN to care for 6 mentally and physically challenged adults in a group home. I fell in love with the job and was heart sick, when a year later, the group home closed, due to lack of funding from the state. I decided to go back to school and earn my CNA certification. I served an internship at three different assisted living facilities during my training and was convinced that this was the field I was happiest in. I got a job I love and have been kept busy but would like some extra work in addition to my regular job. I have good references from people who know my good work history.

My ethics are inate. I expect to work with trustworthy, patient and compassionate teammates. . I believe clear communication is key. The prior and dependability are needed to have the best caregiving possible. I know that people like to be understood, as their lives are so everchanging. When a driving privledge is removed and eyesight and mobility declines, I have helped others feel better by giving them enough space be heard and validated. My experience has taught me to take care of my need's and when my needs are met that brings high quality to my work. When it comes to caregiving I have a lot of experience at being patient. I took care of twins. In a 24 hour period, besides the normal daily needs, one was on twelve different medications up to four times a day, two to four breathing treatments, dietary needs via feeding tube . I'm easily adaptable. I have good boundaries. I am flexible, and realize that each person is unique and I love to learn and take care of their needs. It is very rewarding helping those in need, I enjoy to give the best quality care I can give.
