Hello! My name is Kim. I have been a caregiver for 30 years, having taken off time while my daughter was in high school. I have an extensive amount of experience ranging from cancers to dementias to end of life and so much more. I would be happy to share. I am also an advocate, friend and offer support for both the patient and family. The expectations and standards I set for myself are: 1) Dignity and respect 2) When I walk into someone's home, I'm walking into their world. I dont expect them to walk into mine. Its about them and their needs. 3) Everyone is an individual. Same diagnosis does not mean the same kind of care. My care is based on the individual and their wants and needs. 4) Patience and being a great listener. How else will I know what is needed and wanted. I have provided care for many people. After being in the veterinary field for 20 years, I've gained a level of comfortability with all things clinical and medical. My journey as a caregiver started over 16 years ago I have worked in many healthcare settings as well as home health. I've worked with all ages. Mostly the elderly. I have taken care of two terminal lost angels which is why I no longer extend my hospice services to children. I also no longer provide live in service as well due to personal reasons. I am a very clean individual that is very sociable as well as friendly. I'm no chef but I rarely hear complaints about cooking an very adjustable to culture an customs. Can cook a wide variety of foods. I do housekeeping and meal prep as well, when your love one is sleeping so no time is ever wasted .. excellent time management as well as transportation.Leave a shopping list with the store you or your loved one wishes I'll also get the grocery shopping an house needs as well.
