I'm a great caregiver who loves to help and take care of others.

I have 18 years of experience as a caregiver. From Home Health, to Hospice to Assistant Living Facilities to Rehabilitation Centers back to Home Health I've had clients in all aspects. I have vast experience with clients whom have mild to aggressive Dementia/Alzheimer's. What I love about being a caregiver is that I'm able perform necessary tasks, easing burdens and visibly improving the well-being and independence of those I help, providing a strong sense of accomplishment. I also love the fact that I can provide deep satisfaction and a strong sense of purpose, knowing I'm making a significant difference in someone's everyday life.

I am 51 year old female. I have a 19 year old in college and 2 dogs. My dogs have a dog door so that helps working long hours if needed. I am retired from worker in school system for 20 years as a School Social Worker. I miss the kids but love working with elderly. I have been working as a caregiver off and on for 5 years. Been with people for 1-2 years then some short term. I have a lot of experience with dementia patients. I have been told I am kind. I talk when needed and quit when so. When we go out, like senior center I am social which sometimes helps clients that are shy. I was a caregiver when I was 20 years old and loved it.

I'm a Dental assistant who loves caring and helping the older generation! My step mother was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis) in 2005 and she is currently bed bound, and has been for 5 years. Taking care of her motivated me to become more active in the community by helping someone on my time away from my dental office! In 2017 I joined a company and was assigned to a couple. I've been taking care of them since! They fill my heart with joy every time I see them!

I was instilled at a cery early age, a love for geriatrics. When most children were going to after school care programs, I had talked my parents into letting me Volunteer in a local Nursing Home Activities Dept. Till they got off from work. After graduating High school at the age of 16 I was unsure of where to go with a career. I got my EMT-B certification but when a close family friend lost her husband and needed a caregiver due to MS and offered me a job I fell in love instantly with in home healthcare. I started Home is Maid. It started as In home healthcare that specialized in keeping a clean home with warm meals and great fun companionship but within past 4 years went more in the direction of organizing and deep cleaning homes mainly for elderly stuck in chaotic messes they were unable to get themselves out of. I have worked days off to sit with clients as they have passed and family was out of town as not to be alone. I hesitate calling these wonderful men and women clients or patients as they were and are so much more than that! I like to make this job fun for them by not only the classical In home healthcare but with more planned activities and organizational tracking.

I have always loved working with the elderly. My caring personality is best suited to caring for others. I also like caring for the elderly because they always have the best stories to tell. I always get alot out of caring for those that are older than me.
