Hi, Im Zakyah peferably "Kyah" and i have been doing caregiving since 2020. I find myself very caring, patient, and flexible, i have alot of compassion for helping others and definitely my elders, I am very big on trustworthiness due to me having great grandparents in their 80's who i also take care of when i can but as to me working i have to have a caregiver for them during the week , so i feel as if me knowing what i would want for the best care for them , showed me everything plus more of what i needed to do myself to be the best caregiver i could possibly be. Being with my great grandparents and being their caregiver and seeing how great i did with helping them inspired me to go into this feild and start helping others also, i enjoy caregiving alot. The thing i enjoy most about caregiving would have to be my confidence i always see the good in someone's condition or their abilities, i would also have to say being able to give back and help my elders , elders do alot throughout their lifetimes weather its helping others or just their daily lives during their early life, so i feel as if giving them the care they deserve is very necessary.

I have 18 years of experience as a caregiver. From Home Health, to Hospice to Assistant Living Facilities to Rehabilitation Centers back to Home Health I've had clients in all aspects. I have vast experience with clients whom have mild to aggressive Dementia/Alzheimer's. What I love about being a caregiver is that I'm able perform necessary tasks, easing burdens and visibly improving the well-being and independence of those I help, providing a strong sense of accomplishment. I also love the fact that I can provide deep satisfaction and a strong sense of purpose, knowing I'm making a significant difference in someone's everyday life.

I am 51 year old female. I have a 19 year old in college and 2 dogs. My dogs have a dog door so that helps working long hours if needed. I am retired from worker in school system for 20 years as a School Social Worker. I miss the kids but love working with elderly. I have been working as a caregiver off and on for 5 years. Been with people for 1-2 years then some short term. I have a lot of experience with dementia patients. I have been told I am kind. I talk when needed and quit when so. When we go out, like senior center I am social which sometimes helps clients that are shy. I was a caregiver when I was 20 years old and loved it.

I'm a Dental assistant who loves caring and helping the older generation! My step mother was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis) in 2005 and she is currently bed bound, and has been for 5 years. Taking care of her motivated me to become more active in the community by helping someone on my time away from my dental office! In 2017 I joined a company and was assigned to a couple. I've been taking care of them since! They fill my heart with joy every time I see them!
