Good Morning. My name is Tamara Gossett. I have been an active CNA for 21 years and Med Tech for 15 years. I have been caring for people since I was younger. I grew up helping take care of my older family members. I love being a CNA. I get joy in knowing that I can provide great care for others in need. I take pride in the work I do. I know that at the end of my day I have did my job to the best of my ability and provided quality care. I enjoy the interaction I can have with my clients. I have met a lot of different people, I have heard wonderful, happy, silly, sad, and amazing stories from my clients. Being a CNA is not just a job for me but it is my career.

My experience as a caregiver has included private home care, volunteer hospice service, taking care of my own family members, and working professionally in a skilled nursing facility as an occupational therapy assistant. I love helping people reach their goals and accomplish tasks that are meaningful and important to them.

I am a genuinely sincere person who enjoys helping others. I work hard and listen carefully. I am reliable and have a firm understanding of how important reliability is to those expecting you to be there when you say and do what you say. I have worked as a Social Worker in health care for many years and have the ability to assess a home environment and see where the needs are to assist adequately and make helpful recommendations to promote independence. My husband has his own business and I help to manage that business but miss being able to work with others. I think it is fulfilling when you have the ability to assist someone and make their day just a little easier. I enjoy seeing the transformation on an individuals face when you arrive to help with their needs and they seem worn out and discouraged but after you have helped them, listened to what they had to say, and validated them by doing things their way then you see them energized and smiling. That is the most rewarding feeling. I have several personal achievements that I am proud of I went to college and have a Bachelor's degree and did that while raising children, I have helped my granddaughter achieve her goals to go to college and become a nurse, and I have had a successful happy marriage for 31 years now.

Hello all, My name is Deborah and I was currently working for Tores Home in Brevard, NC. I absolutely loved working here with all the amazing residents and caring for them. I would now prefer to work more one on one with residents so I am more able to focus solely on them and needs. I have been a caregiver for 28 years. I have worked in nursing homes, assisted living, hospitals and in private homes. I love my job. I enjoy knowing that my care and love has helped people and saved people. It is very self satisfying to see someone light up and smile when I come in their room or their homes. I am a former collegiate athlete with a strong work ethic, ability to assess situation and determine what needs to be done, as well as communicate with others to get the job done. I have a strong ability to communicate both verbally, and in writing I'm attracted to being a caregiver as I love interaction with others. I myself have had my own health struggles dealing with a rare disease that is currently under control. I understand the ups and downs of chronic illness, and I'm most proud of the positive attitude and resiliency that I personally have and coping with these issues.

I genuinely love working with all individuals needing support or care. My friends refer to me as "the mom" of the group. I do not have children but have a background in childcare throughout college. I spent a lot of time helping my grandmother growing up and until she passed. My suffered from multiple heart attacks, low blood pressure, cancer, and more. I have a very positive personality. I am soft when needing to be soft and I am enthusiastic when I need to be more alive. I am wonderful at keeping everything organized and attended to. I have a culinary background and I LOVE to cook and bake. My friends and family often brag about my menu's. I have trainings that certify me to cook and respect food allergies or restrictions. I am so attracted to helping care for another because I feel as if I can really help in the world. My favorite part of being a caretaker is to having the option to learn about another human being. My biggest person achievement would have to be working a Recovery Program. I grew up with a lot of trauma surrounding me. This disadvantage taught me a lot of sensitivity and love. I feel confident to care for others with a compassionate and professional manor.
