Hello everyone my name is Kaneisha. I'm a very outgoing person, bubbly and love to meet new people. What makes me a a great caregiver is that I have compassion and empathy. I could always make someone feel very comfortable that's one of my specialties. As a child I always stepped up and helped my mother with my younger sister. Knowing that a little help could go a long way when someone is in need attracted me to continue to be a caregiver. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is meeting new people, learning about them, and giving them the satisfaction that I am there to help them. My name is Destini, I have been a home health aide/attendant for 5 years. I'm certified by new york department of health. I've been working with patients since I was 15. I went to a medical high school ; Clara Barton and through there I started to volunteer and work at nursing homes and private cases because I love helping people. I believe my best qualities as a home health aide are, I treat my patients and their families the same way that I would want another caregiver to treat my family if they needed assistance. I am compassionate and I empathize with the people I assist. I have kind heart and I'm efficient in the tasks I have to do with my patient. I have a lot of energy and pay close attention to my patient. I do grocery shopping can cook meals and make a meal plan specifically for their nutritional needs based on their health. I do housekeeping, scheduling appointments for activities, program and doctors. The most rewarding experience I had in this field is just hearing a patient say thank you. Those two words have a lot of meaning to me, it makes me know I'm doing my job right. I don't plan on stopping here in the health field, I am going to school for a degree in registered nursing. A little about me: I was born and raised here in New York however I moved away to Texas in 2016-2019 where I worked at a long term dementia facility. Once I moved back, I continued my caregiving career and am looking for more opportunities! My favorite part about caregiving is the companionship! I am a dedicated hard worker, responsible and always go above and beyond.

As a former P.G.A. Pro, i've worked with all age groups 10 - 80 yrs old, teaching the game of golf. To see a smile after a well strick shot.. priceless ! I started in the caregiving business after my Father had a severe stroke. Assisted in all his rehab. Speech/occupational/physcial/aquatic. Soon after i joined the Visiting Nurses Asso. The best part of the job is getting to know the client and their family and how to best assist their loved one. They show their gratitude with many thanks and smiles for a job well done. I know my clients were happy to see me everytime. Always lots to learn in this field, I've continued educating myself, to give the best care possible.
