Working at a nursing home years ago made me want to get in the healthcare field. I love working with older people and helping them because some people just don't have that or someone just to talk to or make their day. To answer the first question, what makes me a great Caregiver? Ans. I do extra miles. Listen to the needs of a client. Have patuent & compassion and be supportive to the family. I am reliable, dependable, and very helpful. Iam honest & trustworthy. I am punctual, hardworking and responsible. Second question: Why did you become a caregiver? Ans. Because it is my passion to help others especially for seniors that really need help. Third question: What do you like about being a Caregiver? Ans. I like being a caregiver because I am able to help and take care of the seniors like my parents and make them happy. Fourth or last question: What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Ans. There is only one thing that I felt achieved in my job is to make my client happy of what I have done to them. For me, that is my greatest achievement.

I feel I am a great caregiver because I am empathetic, caring, charismatic, silly, I love to make my consumers smile and be happy. I became a caregiver for the following reasons there are never enough caregivers to go around, I have worked short handed in caregiving since I started. I enjoy helping my consumers live their life to best they can and I am willing to help any way I can to achieve that goal. My personal achievement I'm most proud of is definitely being the best mom, person, friend, I can be and also being myself.

I own a very active and mischievous 1 year old cat. I love her to death even though she is a pain in my neck. A lot... I grew up with dogs and birds too, so I'm comfortable with them as well. The only animals that I am not fan of are spiders, bees, and scorpions. I'm not afraid of snakes and will hold one that's not venomous. I do attend church regularly which does limit my availability somewhat. I first knew I wanted to be a caregiver when I was 15 years old. I started taking care of my great-grandmother in her home and absolutely loved every aspect of it, so I made it my career. I have been working the the health field for 18 years. I have worked in home care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and psych hospitals. I love helping people. I love to sit and hear their the stories of their past. I am a very caring person and treat all my residents as if they were my own family. My mother was an aide when I was younger and I always admired what she did and wanted to do the same. I love everything there is about being a caregiver, from the good days to the bad. Every moment, every day is very rewarding. I have two personal achievements that I am most proud of. The first one is my three children. They are my everything and my reason to get up every day and keep doing what I do. My second one is the fact that I am now back in school.
