Hello, my name is Lynn hall and I became a caregiver after my divorce, I had no experience and honestly not much work experience as was a stay at home mother.My neighbor said I should try caregiving as she thought I would be a good fit! Well here I am almost 12 years later and I love taking care of people. Being a mother of 3 I think that made a huge difference. Thank you for reading this.

Welcoming you with warm wishes. Just wanted to share alittle about me. I'm 34 yrs old. I've worked since age 14yrs. My mom was a single mom raising 3 kids. I enjoyed working hard and I have always been a giving hearted person. I remember I used to get my paychecks an was so excited I was able to but my mom dinner from a days hard of work. I was first introduced to an entry level position in the State of Kansas as a Residential Trainer for people who face physical and mental challenges and I did that for 3 years. It was so rewarding. Very hard work but I have always been very open to learning new things and I enjoy challenges. If we stay in where were comfortable. The you limit yourself from learning and doing what you can to be the hands and feet for Gods kingdom. After doing that for 3 yrs I decided to get my nurses aide license and doing that for so many years has been such a wonderful opportunity. I absolutely love my elders and I AM THE VOICE WHO SPEAKS UP FOR THEM. I believe that there is way too many people shoved in a room with a facility that lacks sufficient staffing to give the residents attention to give them the essentials like a regular bath and hygiene and clothes put on. I've seen too much of the THE BAD AND THE UGLY in institutions and to me that's NO WAY for anyone to live or spend there retirement in. I love talking and sharing stories, praying, I enjoy providing exceptional care to all clients I come in contact. I'm very friendly. My passion in life is people going above and beyond the call of duty. I'm flexible and reliable as I dont have any kids. Just 3 sweet dogs. Goals I'm working towards and emails the Congress is to shut down institutions and create group homes with a maximum of 5 clients per 1 Nurses Aide Ratio because in the end it would save money on healthcare costs for our elders and reduce risk and injuries and could extend there life. https://www.facebook.com/HealingBeginsInTheHeart Blessings- Heather Sperry

I was a professional caregiver on and off since 1975. I am compassionate and well trained in caregiving. I enjoy spending time with those I care for and meeting their needs. I enjoy doing something I love and also being able to get paid for it. I have held awards for caregiver of the year from a job and promoted to head supervisor in a nursing home I worked in for many years.

I am going on my third year of college, and my third college as well. I am finishing up my surgical nursing degree at Marion Technical College with a Surgical Technician certification and a phlebotomy certification as well. I have spent time in caring for my grandmother while she was in and out of the hospital, and I will provide compassionate care to those who need. My job as a future nurse is to provide comfort and love to patients varying different health conditions. My ideal job profession in the future is to work in hospice as well. When I was younger, I had a heart disease and my life-long goal is to give back to nurses and patients with 110% passionate and sympathetic care.

I became a caregiver because my mother was a nurse. She did home health care for years and she always talked about how much she loved it. When I started into this field it was in hospice care and I loved it. I loved being there with families and helping them through the very difficult times. I always spent more time than required so I could ensure that things were the best they could be considering the situation. I tend to be a fairly quite person at first but become chattery once I feel comfortable. I have always been that way but I have become better with age. I love helping people. And spending time just talking if that's all they would like.

Being a caregiver has been very rewarding in knowing I am able to make others feel good in their daily lives with assistance of daily living. They feel secure which makes me feel good and proud to assist. I have alot of compassion and heart for anyone.

I am great at everything i do. Very out going and i have a deep care for other's. Nursing is not about the rate of pay, I believe it is about compassion for other's . I love what I do. And to be apart of someones life and provide exceptional care. I am a mother of 3 , hard working and very friendly. At every care position i have held i have received multiple rewards and recognition from the care I give. I do not feel inadequate in any aspect of my life, training or my abilities as a caregiver/ nurse.

For me, being a caregiver isn't just a career. It's my calling in life. I feel as though it's what I was put here to do. My very first job at age 18 was as a caregiver for a lady with MS. I cared for her as a live in for nearly three years with one day off weekly. I then moved to direct care for disabled individuals and have accumulated several years experience. I am certified in first aid/ CPR, medication administration, insulin trained, and have a wide path of experience to fall back on. I was also caregiver for my mother for five years until she passed from ALZ. I am currently attending college studying Human and Social Services to better provide for those I work with and for. I believe that being a caregiver requires a special individual, just as special as those I care for. I have always felt that the individuals I have met and worked with have each been a blessing in their own way and I am the lucky one for having them in my heart and life. I view my clients as family, nothing less. I am dedicated, sincere, patient, full of good humor, not easily upset, and my greatest joy is making others happy. That's the biggest benefit of all. My bubbly personality helps make the patients feel like they're getting care from someone who cares, I strive to be a smiling face for them everyday. I love being a caregiver because it gives me the ability to help where it is needed. Being a care giver gives me opportunities to meet new people and push myself to be better, everyday is a different day ! I take pride in the simple things like making the bed and cleaning the house perfectly, making sure the patient is clean with clean clothes on and smile on they're face .
