I supported my father for 20 years until he passed 5 years ago ensuring he maintained his independence and lived life to the fullest. With a "can do" attitude and a passion to help others. I think I'm a great caregiver because I genuinely care about others. I treat people the way I want myself or my family members treated. I have enjoyed a 32 year career as a Respiratory Therapist primarily with children in a hospital setting, but being a caregiver doesn't have age restrictions! I am now an active empty nester and am looking to continue caring for others outside of the hospital setting in a little more flexible way. :)

In Mary Elizabeth but I go by Liz. I've been a caregiver for 31years, and I have worked in many places. With my experience in health care I've grown to be very patient and understanding with clients and ive learned that with anger and frustration it can only make the situation worse. I love to talk and learn new things and being a caregiver I feel like you get to experience alot of that. The connection and bond you build with your client is an amazing feeling and them gaining the trust of a stranger like yourself is heartwarming to me. I love to help people and when it comes to caregivers I feel like some people don't have there heart in it, being a caregiver to me isn't just a check or someone I clean and cook for its a relationship. My mother and I wasn't ever really close until about two years ago when she was diagnosed with cancer, and those two years we came together and I'm so grateful for the time we had together while we could. She unfortunately passed away april of this year and it's been hard for me but coming back into the home health service I think will be a way of me carrying on for her to help others like she helped me.

A little about me... I've been a certified nurses aide for over 20 years. I've worked in nursing homes, private sitting and I've worked in Hospice for the past 10 years. I love what I do. Since i started working as a CNA, I've gone to school to do other things, but I keep coming back as a CNA, so I feel this is my passion. My children are grown and I have 3 amazing and beautiful grand children, and another on the way. That's a little about me....

I am outgoing with a great sense of humor. I'm willing to help anyone in need and when I'm in, I'm all in. I am happy and have been told I have a funny personality. I am easy to talk to and a good listener. I understand people and I make friends easily, I consider myself to be very social. I am easy going. I am willing to help anyone at any time, but I do not like to be taken advantage of. I have good leadership qualities and am confident of myself. I'm able to keep a calm and level head whenever I am in situations of stress. I would like to consider myself someone who can relate to anyone and any culture and background. It allows me to make very personal connections with everyone I meet. I would tell them that I'm an honest and hardworking individual. I am usually busy and like to pursue my goals wholeheartedly. I am an extremely determined person. No matter what, I will push through limitations and adversity to try and get what I want, and what is best for myself and those around me. Beyond that, I am extremely compassionate and kind, and will do everything and anything for my friends.
