I prep , light house keep , showers , transfers, bed baths , etc.

What makes me a great caregiver? I am extremely patient with people. I always lead with love and before I do anything I talk to the client and let them know I'm only here to help. I build bonds quickly and treat them as I did my own parents.

In Mary Elizabeth but I go by Liz. I've been a caregiver for 31years, and I have worked in many places. With my experience in health care I've grown to be very patient and understanding with clients and ive learned that with anger and frustration it can only make the situation worse. I love to talk and learn new things and being a caregiver I feel like you get to experience alot of that. The connection and bond you build with your client is an amazing feeling and them gaining the trust of a stranger like yourself is heartwarming to me. I love to help people and when it comes to caregivers I feel like some people don't have there heart in it, being a caregiver to me isn't just a check or someone I clean and cook for its a relationship. My mother and I wasn't ever really close until about two years ago when she was diagnosed with cancer, and those two years we came together and I'm so grateful for the time we had together while we could. She unfortunately passed away april of this year and it's been hard for me but coming back into the home health service I think will be a way of me carrying on for her to help others like she helped me.

I supported my father for 20 years until he passed 5 years ago ensuring he maintained his independence and lived life to the fullest. With a "can do" attitude and a passion to help others. People tell me I have the patience of an Angel. Dedicated, energetic and always with a smile ensuring confidentiality at all times.

I became a caregiver because I love to help and take care of people. I like being a caregiver because I get to meet different people and care for them in ways that I am needed. A personal achievement that I am proud of is that I am able to go out and assist people with their needs and be a big help to the family as well as for the patient. I have been a CNA for 10 yrs and a Medication aide for 8yrs. I have also taken phelebotomy and EKG courses.

Previously, I had a house sitting job with my first home patient whom i met at a facility through a rehab program. I was able to assist him and help him get stronger for 4 years. 4.I am a peoples person, very easy to get along with, I am honest and I am a child of God. I treat people the way i would want to be treated or how I want my children to be treated. I have three children 15yr old son James, 13yr old daughter Leah and a 12 yr old daughter Ja Leah. I am married, 6 years. I am takeing classes to become an occupational therapist.

I think patience and compassion are essential. I've always took care of my great grandmother growing up. I was able to take my grandmother out to appointments as needed and I also was able to bathe her and get her breakfast lunch and dinner ready. Being the loving caring person I am.
