I have been a Caregiver for approximately 10 years. I love what I do and believe if you dont have a calling for this type of work then dont do it! I have always been very easy going and work with my clients for any situation.

I'm reliable, I'm trustworthy, I care for the older generation cause I see what my elderly parents are having to go through as they are aging. I have patience and understanding.

I am compassionate and enjoy providing service which allows the clients more freedom. The security of dependable help is key for the client and the trust bestowed on us as caregivers is a gift.

I have a happy, bubbly personality. I love to laugh and have fun. I cared for my mother for 2 years. She was completely blind so I cared for her 24/7. I assisted with taking her to the bathroom, bathing, dressing, brushing teeth, brushing hair, incontinence . Washed/ dried clothes, linens, towels, grocery shopping, cooking all meals, washing dishes. Cleaning the house, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping. Administered medications. Driving her to all doctor appointments, kept track of all doctor diagnosis. Worked with home health agency - coordinated all nurse, PT, OT, speech/memory therapist, Commission for the blind visits. Paid bills and reconciled bank accounts and any other financial business. Offered companionship, friendship. Finalized all burial matters. Cared for my brother for 1 year. He was a Vietnam Veteran. Dealt with the VA regarding his health care and a fiduciary for his Military pension. I was his representative payee for Social Security benefits. He had agent orange, loss of cartilage in his knees and couldn't walk, neuropathy, diabetes, liver disease/failure cancer, high ammonia levels causing confusion, memory loss and violent tendencies. He was very challenging - personal care was handled by my husband (I was his little sister and he would not allow me to care for him in that manner). Worked with home health care agency like my mother. Worked with hospice. Helped care for my husband's father for 4 months. Brought my father in-law home from nursing home where he was placed on hospice immediately. He had three strokes requiring stents. Last stroke paralyzed his right arm and leg and impaired his speech Managed all doctor, hospice nurse, therapist visits. Insured that all necessary medical equipment was ordered and delivered - hospital beds, shower benches, wheel chairs, walkers, breathing equipment, oxygen tanks, etc. for all three relatives.

Well experienced caregiver that love helping others. I started taking care of the elderly at a young age due to my grandma falling sick and having to be put into a nursing home , I've helped take care of her as much as I could until she passed away , every since then I vowed that I would make caregiving my career and I have achieved that so far

I grew up next to my grandmother and mother while working in the medical field, my grandmother as a Mid-wife and my mother as a LVN. So it has been instilled into me to enjoy caregiving. I am the first sister after 6 brothers and 2 sisters after. My previous experience of private sitting during my college term and prior to that I was a CNA for 8 year or more. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, enjoy the outdoors and still cut my yard and trim trees. I am trying to adjust to this new digital world and having fun.

I really enjoy working with people as well as building a relationship with other's, I love that I'm able to help other's in any kind of way that I'm able to. I'm very patient and compassionated. In this job line you have to have lots of patience as well as getting to know as much as you can about your patient, and always see the positive and give praise to you client, so they know that they are not alone. I love to be able to help other's on a daily as well as get to hear great stories of my clients, and to grow as part of someone's family, I come from a big family and love to get closer and grow a bond with others as well. One of my best personal achievements that I've experienced was to help mentor one of my patients who had once lost all her hope to that she would be able to walk again, and I would praise her every single day on how proud of her I was that she never gave up and she was not alone on this journey of recovery, I help her set goals for us to try and complete at months at a time. My words of encouragement stuck to her as well as light up her face every day that I walked into her home and within no time we were able to show off her skills of relearning how to be able to walk on her own. Which made my heart so happy that because of me being me and loving to help other's was accomplished and we would set another goal to accomplish. The bond that I'm able to have with elders who feels as if they no longer have support. Till this day I'm proud to say even though that client is able to do things on her own and is no longer in need of a caregiver, we still have the closest bond that we had when I was there to help her in her time if need from all the times she felt she wanted to give up. For me giving up is never a option and your never be on the journey alone.

Hello my name Is Jalyn. I've been a caregiver and CNA for 6 years. I received my certificate in Bay City when I graduated high school. I love caring for people . I come from a family of nurses. That's what driving me to further my career in nursing and business. I have a compassion to care for people. I enjoy helping the patients , do fun activities with them.
