I am Bethany, I am 18. I'm hardworking, loving and very Caring. What attracts me to be a caregiver is I love helping and taking care of other people. I enjoy most about being a caregiver is giving patients/residents attention and helping them with their needs makes me happy that I can be there to help them and their families. A personal achievement I'm proud of is the capable of getting to be there for the patients/residents.

Hi my name is April. I have worked in this field since I was 15 I knew then that I loved taking care of people and that people loved me. I always have a good personality and a smile on my face. I took care of my grandfather at home until he passed away and also both of my parents. My father became paralyzed after a hunting trip and I brought him home and took care of him that's how I learned trach care and feeding tube care. And currently I have an uncle who has a mass in his throat and I've been taking care of him at home since last December he also has a trach and a feeding tube. I have always stepped up and brought my family members home to care for instead of being placed in a nursing home.There I know they always are short staffed and patients can't get the care they need like they can at a home setting with just one aide.

Hi! I have been doing this for about 6 years & have loved it since! I love being able to help keep their independence but know that I will always be there if they need help, with anything, big or small. I enjoy being that companion for them. Letting them have someone be in their presence to talk to, rely on, anything. I feel like I have grown so much in this field of work. Not only that, but nursing will always have a special place in my heart! I look forward to meeting new people & building good, healthy bonds with them!

My nursing class and i went to Autumn care of Madison va and helped there along with the teacher. Thats where we practice on people and stuff. I love it.

My easiest to get around all them me being a caregiver helps to hear stories and taking or helping everybody taking care and meeting new people I dont think I have any right now

I became a caregiver 9 yrs, ago. it all began when my aunt was admitted in to a nursing home facility. my grandmother would go visit her on a daily and every day after school I would go with her and every day my aunt would be in the same situation. soiled, left in bed for hours. with bed sores all over her from not being reposition. So from tht day forward I had vow that I would become a nurse or a caregiver. I vowed that I would do my best to make sure tht every patient that I came in contact with will have the best care tht I could provide. it brings me joy that I can help them physical or emotionally. I look at each and everyone of them as my own family. I believe with tht brings out the best in all of us to want to do our best. my best achievement is not of any awards but the reward of being there to my best for my patients to put a smile on there face and for them to feel of importance and to let them knw their voices matters.

I knew I wanted to become a caregiver because I love the elderly! Not only that but I knew one day I wanted to become a nurse and I knew that becoming a CNA would give me a great foundation. I'm very sweet and loving towards the elderly!

Helping the disabled or the elderly is a passion of mine. I never thought that I could put a smile on someone's face until I became a caregiver. The reason I became a caregiver in 2009, I was sitting with a retired judge who made me take the caregiving route. I love listening to the stories they have to tell from back in the day. Being able to make them smile or even help them folding their laundry and seeing how much they appreciate what I do.
