Being a caregiver for 4 years I have learned a lot and still learning since I want to be a Nurse. I try my best to make sure my patient are comfortable, safe and happy. I am naturally a compassionate and cheerful person. I cared for my late mother when she was ailing and this gave such fulfillment and the drive to help people that are unable with activities of daily living. I enjoy bringing a smile on my clients face when they feel safe, heard and cared for. In my role as a caregiver to an elderly lady with dementia, I always showed her kindness, patience and compassion and as a result the family entrusted me to care for her while even while she was in hospice until she passed on and later requested me to care for another family member who had Alzheimer's.
