I have a calling & passion for serving those in need; especially the elderly population. My ongoing mission is to help them with continuum of life care their way, not mine. I'm committed to advocating and promoting their wants and needs on an individual basis. I've been a caregiver; predominantly in the private in home sector for 33 years. Reason why I became a caregiver to give back. I love making people smile . When I do my job... I do it well ! When I leave the Consumer home knowing they have a smile on there face & comfortable NOT TO MENTION SAFE! I know I did something good & Positive I have worked my way to become a SIC ( supervisor) community coordinator. I over see 6/7 caregivers & 25-30 clients. Thank you for you time . I would like to be a companion part time(daytime). And I prefer to work between 11:30 and 3:30 once maybe twice a week in Durham. NO SUNDAYS. No personal care, family vehicle for any transportation, trained or behaved pet. Thank you.

I am a 28 yr old caregiver/medication technician I have been in this field for 7yrs. When I was little I loved making sure my grandmother and great grandmother was okay and I always helped them around the house. I wanted to continue doing that when I grew up but also help other people as well. I love being able to help somebody achieve a goal or an activity. It makes my job worth it.

I became a caregiver because I was able to take care of my sick mother home for 4 years until it turned into Hospice care at my home. I am trustworthy with training, education, and guidance with caring for families , so they will receive emotional support and are comfortable in their environment. My compassion for patients allows me to have understanding and be attentive to their needs. I will follow set rules be punctual, and show good time - management. Quality of care and safety for patients are very important to me.
