It brings me immense joy to build meaningful relationships with them, as I understand that companionship is just as crucial as any other aspect of care. In addition to my hands-on experience, I have developed strong communication and problem-solving skills that are essential in this field. I am attentive to the unique needs of each senior, and I take pride in creating personalized care plans that enhance their quality of life. My name is Evonne and as a mother of two children and a grandmother of four, I have great experience in the field of Adult care. No matter what age or stage your your family is at, I have experienced it and know how to handle it. I have been working as a caregiver for 13 years and enjoy every day I have my client around. I am warm-hearted, energetic and enjoy spending my time reading, crafting and playing games. I am also happy to prepare meals. Last summer, I accompanied a family on a one-week holiday where I took care of their relatives and allowed the kids some respite. I offer this service to other families. After I was Honorably discharged from the Military, my best friend who was in the Marine Corps with me, was diagnosed with ALS. Spending time with his family and caretakers gave me a new found prospective on what I wanted to do as a career. Caring for 24 Individuals with various physical and mental health disabilities and being a role model, caregiver, big brother, and their Residential Director for 7 years.
