I became a caregiver because my grandmother had cancer. The hospice nurse she had was a wonderful person and helped us so much. After that I was inspired to provide that type of care to others. I've enjoyed taking care of others and helping people live out their day with my help. I make it a point to get my clients out and about in the community instead of staying at home all day. I re-introduce passions my clients once had into the care I provide. I feel that seniors should have an immense amount of attention because they deserve that and more.

I am applying for this position because I have 4 years experience in medical data entry and medical document management. Through my experience I have familiarized myself with orthopedic issues/cases and I look forward to applying my skills to this position.

I found my calling after years of taking care of my elderly parents and also my own family. I took a job near my home assisting a RN and an LVN to care for 6 mentally and physically challenged adults in a group home. I fell in love with the job and was heart sick, when a year later, the group home closed, due to lack of funding from the state. I decided to go back to school and earn my CNA certification. I served an internship at three different assisted living facilities during my training and was convinced that this was the field I was happiest in. I got a job I love and have been kept busy but would like some extra work in addition to my regular job. I have good references from people who know my good work history.

I have worked with an elderly couple, the husband was more then 100. I would help the wife prepare food for them, help him change, walk around the house, clean the house and organize office.
