I enjoy interacting with them and taking care of them makes me feel like am part of the family. When I first started caregiving over 12 years ago I wasn't sure if I would be making a career of a caregiver. To be honest it wasn't for me after the first few weeks. Well something happened and 12 years later I am still caregiver because this is what I am supposed to do in life. I have learned that I have a gift for memory care and a whole lot of love to give. I always make sure that my daily task will get completed in time for me to take the time to visit with a resident or client that needs someone to just be there for them. To listen,to talk to,or just quietly sit with them. Maybe they want to be mad and scream and hit at you. Whatever they need. I love what I do and I do what I love.

Hello I am Alicia- I have done private home care for approx. 15+ years. I find it very rewarding to give the care I wish to receive for myself or family members if/when I may need help doing everyday tasks. I raised 4 children & now have beautiful grandbabies to enjoy & visit them as often as I'm able to. For the past year & a half I've lived with my dad caring for him and his COPD- on November 21st he lost the fight against his disease.
