My name is Rebecca. I've been a professional care giver for over 19years. I love my job because it has so many rewards within itself. I've managed a 6 man group home for the last 4 years with only minuscule issues. Regardless of the fact that I have children at home I'm quite flexible with scheduling although I would love to work mornings while my children are at school, it's not a must and I have no problem doing overtime.

What makes me a good caregiver is that I am caring, compassionate, honest, dependable. I have always had a passion for taking care of people. I enjoy seeing people happy and healthy. I am proud that I assisted one of my clients with achieving her health goal of getting off insulin. I have been doing homecare for over 15 years. I also have four years experience in a manager position. I also have hoyer lift and end of life experience.

I"m a Certified Nurse Assistant who go above and beyond for my patients. I'm a active listener and a fast leaner making me more than just a caregiver. My patience, empathy and observation skill make me a special caregiver. I enjoy doing sometime they cannot do for themself.

What makes me a great caregiver, is the love and passion I have to be one to care for another. I enjoy doing it, im not in it for the paycheck, I do it because it makes me feel good knowing I can help someone. I always grew up wanting to help others in one way or another.. I enjoy the smiles I can give someone simply by being there to assist them, knowing someone enjoys my care makes my heart swell. My biggest personal achievement I am proud of, is, my son.

l 've been a caregiver since (1983) when I was trained and certifiied as s a direct care staff for the profoundly mentally handicap for 5 years, than transitioned over to caring for the elderly, recently I just loss a client of over 6yrs. who was 98 years old. I also cared for her daughter who preceeded her in death due to lung cancer. I have 30 years plus experience, if you're looking for someone who's going to give 100% of herself at all times, and whom offers an excellent attendance track record proven, I'm definitely your girl. I am a loving person to be around. I love helping others, especially the elderly. I enjoy being a caregiver, my clients love me. I help them as much as I can. I treat them as if they are my grandparents.I am proud of myself I came along way. I was working in the criminal justice field, but decided I'll do go to the nursing field. I start nursing school in January. I'm just excited to be helping others, because when I get older I would love for someone to help me.

I am caring, compassionate, and understanding. I realize that caring for anyone you are not just caring for the patient/case but for someone's loved one. This means that you are also caring for the family. The family must trust you and understand that all communications regarding their loved one is honest, accurate and confidential. I have been in the business of caring since 1998 both in Hospitals,private care facilities and in the home. Each location requires and demand a different approach but what never will not be compromised is that my case has priority, my companionship and the well being is always at the forefront. I have the ability to communicate with all levels of the medical community from patient transportation to the attending physician and nursing staff. I am CPR/First Aid Certified also with the latest automated on sight equipment. I feel that the person that I am caring for must and should remain a viable member of their community and should have as much professional and social interaction in that community that is reasonable contingent on their health and mental condition.

I started my career in Health Care right out of High school. I have over 20 years experience. I have worked Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Hospice. With that I have seen a lot & been taught by some amazing leaders. I go into each home with the attitude of this could be my Parent/ Grandparent, Treat them as how i would want my family cared for. My favorite thing about being a caregiver is the history of my patents. It brings so much joy to see them smile and relive there favorite memories of the past. I held my Certified Nursing assistant license for many years & only gave it up when I choose to not work in Nursing Homes. I keep up with all the latest training & have many certificates.
