My name is Joyce Tate and I am a Licensed Assisted Living Manager for the State Arizona. I currently work as an Assisted Living Coordinator and Care Team Member in an assisted living in the city of Sun Lakes. I have over 20 plus years of experience in the healthcare industry providing care for individuals with disabilities and caring for those in the elderly community living with dementia and alzheimers. I believe in building life long connections by meeting my clients where ever they are in their healthcare journey until the end of life.

I am a nonsmoker, nondrinker, I love animals and I have a laid back personality. My husband and I moved to Arizona from Colorado primarily because of his health. He had numerous health issues including COPD, Diabetes, and was on oxygen 24/7 in Colorado. We moved here in 2016 and he passed a way in 2018 , so I was also his caregiver for the last part of his life.

I am a nursing student, a mother, and I am a natural caregiver. My calling in life has been to help people and I have a huge heart. I was a nurses aid in Texas for a year before I moved back to Tucson. I enjoyed helping other people very much, so I decided to become a Certified Caregiver when I returned to Tucson. I working in a 10 bed assisted living home from 2014 to June 2019. I currently work in a memory care unit. I am very kind hearted and understanding, and am able to anticipate the needs of any and all of the residence I care for on a daily basis. I have decided to go back to college to pursue becoming a Registered Nurse. I am currently on the waiting list at Pima Community College. When clients have a medical set back or surgery it gives me joy help them regain some or most all of what they lost. That is one of the most rewarding feelings. I am a great care giver because I love what I do and helping others is the best blessing I can give to someone who is in need of my help. I really became interested in caregiving since I was about 16 years old and I would have to help my grand mother and it was the most warmest feeling I've felt in my heart.
