I'm a great caregiver simply because I'm naturally empathetic , compassionate, enjoy helping people, and always give the best of me .
I've served clients with trach/vent, suction & feeding tubes, colostomy bag, cardiac & foley cath, AFOs, wound vac, and IV's.
I practice preparing healthy delicious meals, love animals, gardening, music, enjoy baking and lots of laughter.
I'm extremely creative and always thinking of ways to help assure safety, comfort, and joy to my clients and their families.
I've provided loving care to critical new borns, playful pediatrics, and exceptional companionship to seniors and people of ages.
As an intensive care nurse, dialysis & behavioral health technician, and certified nutritional educator, I've experienced working with an array of clients with various diseases and disorders including;
arthritis, alzheimer's, blood, cardiovascular, cancer, COPD, dementia, depression hospice, HIV/AIDS, gastrointestinal, hospice, neurological, seizures orthopedic, palliative, rehab, parkinson's, wound care, and post surgery recovery. I'm a very professional and compassionate Caregiver/CCMA with strong work ethics. I care for my clients the way I would want my loved ones cared for . I am very versatile and have in-depth knowledge and training into many different areas of the healthcare field. I have worked with many different clients in the home setting with many different illnesses and diseases such as Alzheimer's, mild - severe, Dementia, mild - severe, Parkinson's, mild- severe, diabetes's, MS, ALS, many different Cancers , Hospice , Palliative care and much more.
I use critical independent thinking when caring for my patients which is very important in the home care setting . I know I am the eyes and ears for the health care team and family members so I pay close attention to my patients looking for any changes. I pay close attention to their medications making sure they are working properly. With my knowledge and medical background I am able to communicate effectively and professionally with all individuals on a clients care team which in turn makes it easier for the physicians or other health care professionals to treat the client. This in turns brings great relief for my patients and their loved ones.
Really feels great when my patients remembered all the good things that I've done for them, those Thank You's, remembering my name, telling me that they want me to be their CNA/Caregiver is just amazing. I became a Caregiver because that's what I wanted to be, I really like taking care of people, and I think it's on my genes, my mother is a caregiver and so as my brother, what I liked being a Caregiver is that at least I can help them and and take care of them with love and treat them like my own family. My personal achievement that I'm really proud of is because of this job I'm still able to help my family back home (Philippines), helping them to go to school, in case of emergency like going to the hospital and need some help about money, even it's just a small amount, I know they're all happy and me too.
