I have always been naturally caring. It was in 2010 when I felt the calling. 2011 I went to school to get my CNA license. I took care of my daughter who was undergoing treatment at the time. In 2013 I officially used my license at a local rehab facility. It was hard to leave my patients at the rehab facility who I had became close to and loved. 2015 I started to work at Sierra View where I floated to multiple departments. During that time I gain a better knowledge of how to take care and treat my patients. I and now looking to help a family in need to take care of their love one.

I love being able to help care for people who aren't able to care for themselves fully. I love seeing the faces of my clients when they see me. They are always happy. I'm proud of being a care provider because this job isn't for everyone.

I am a former RN that is awaiting reinstatement of license. I received a DUI in 2016 that ultimately was dismissed. I needed to work on "myself" before returning to my chosen field. Hello everyone, my name is Abygail, but you can call me Aby for short. I have had a year of experience with 4 Autistic children ranging from the ages 10 to 20. I have been more of a nanny as I not only provided all around care at various hours of the day and night, I built a bond with them. This relationship has kept me going as a care provider; I always felt the need to do more and to have fun while doing so. I guess that is what I enjoy most as being a caregiver is the bond that I have with my clients as I treat them like family. A personal achievement that I am proud of is being on a princess on the Miss Porterville court in 2017. I am proud of this accomplishment as it allowed me to be active within the community. It also allowed me to partake in activities with people of various ages and it created opportunities for me. I was not only a role model for future generations to come, but to those of my age within the community, and older.

I became interested in care giving when my grand mother broke her back when I was 12. I helped take care of her for many years until her passing in 2013. I am a very kind person. I am gentle and very understanding. I am a people person. I feel like careing for the elderly is something I'm meant to do. I am proud of my last job where I cared for a lady for 5 years and upon her passing was 103 1/2. I will forever miss her. I enjoy the company of the elderly something about their old souls. I also love that I help their last year's be the best that they can be!
