I have 20+ years of experience in the healthcare industry specifically in the role of caregiver. I've always had a love of taking care of people. My earliest memories Consisted of playing hospital with my Barbie dolls and pretending to take care of them as if I were in a real hospital setting! I would bathe them, dress them, administer injections etc. That love stayed with me throughout my childhood to present day. Although I've gone to school and acquired all of the proper credentials needed to work in hospitals etc., I missed that special feeling you get via the relationships and bonds that developed when giving one on one care to a client which I felt was lacking in the hospital setting. I am at my happiest when I am able to bring a smile to my clients face through the services that I provide for them personally and I really enjoy providing companionship as well. When my dad fell ill, I gave up everything to focus on taking care of him personally. In addition to the clinical portion of caring for him we watched TV together, shared deep conversations and stories of his childhood and mine, I prepared his favorite meals etc. And when it was my dad's time, I walked away from it with life long memories that I have passed along to my children who I hope will pass it on to their children and so on!

I have over 30+ years experience working in patient care, I have chosen to become a caregiver as I have seen so many patients and families struggling for in-home support care. I'm a witness, and have experienced on how difficult it is to have someone that you can trust when your love ones are ill. A glimpse into my background. My mother had kidney failure, and was a dialysis patient for many years. She went from hemodialysis three times a week to peritoneal dialysis which is 5 times a day. My sisters and I had to have a crash course training just to keep my mother comfortable. My father suffered from lung cancer and his care was very challenging as well. My oldest sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and seeing her go through chemotherapy was very difficult. Because I have had these personal experiences is why I have chosen to become a caregiver and help individuals with special needs. I have a positive personality, compassionate and a great listener. I enjoy helping people, self motivated and professional. I look forward in working with you and your love ones.
