I dealt with various clients from hourly to live-ins with condition varying from Parkinson's disease to dementia to simply recovering from surgery. I am a very patient, happy, respectful person. What makes me a good caregiver is i like to sit down and listen to the individual and the family to find out their concerns and fears and how they want things to be. I respect all rights and will not over step my boundary. I'm a good listener and companion. I became a care giver after taking care of my grandma while she battled with cancer. It was a hard and emotional time but after she passed. I learned that we became closer and during that hard time we also had many good times. So in the end results i became a care giver to become a companion and to help others when help is needed.

my name is stephanie and im looking to start my caregiving career out here in tehachapi im originally from san bernardino I did attend hs in mojave . after graduation in 07 I moved back to sb where then in 2009 I started my caregiving career. which I enjoy and love so much I had experienced working with 4 different companys where ive learned to care for mental disabilities, dementia care , Parkinsons , MS. ive worked with hospice patients incontinence care I do housekeeping , meal prep transportation if needed , med management, laundry and I enjoy the campanionship . im very sweet and quite at first but I warm up .. I take pride in what I do . I take care of my patients as if they are my family .

I. I became a Caregiver because the word "Caregiver" is what I am. I care for humanity with special needs or partial/full assistance and a giver because I give all I have on my reach to those who need to do the things they can't, for example (ADL's) Activities of Daily Living. 2. I like everything I have done so far as a Caregiver. From experiencing clients with the care of only companion to the care of hospice. Many clients I had done care for with different cases and thats what I like about being a caregiver, because those cases are reality in life that make me stronger when the time comes to my love ones or myself also, the satisfaction I feel when a person says thank you with gratitude. 3. I am lovable, caring, funny, smart, responsible, I have good memory of schedules and program a routine, I am a mom of 3 educated and good children of ages 15, 11 and 8, and I am also happily newlywed with a wonderful man. I love to cook healthy foods, clean and organized. I always tried to make sure the other person is comfortable and happy. I have good sense of humor and I also consider myself honest and respectful with others.

I have been a caregiver for over 15 years. Most of my experience has been with clients with Dementia / Alzheimer's. As I begin a new assignment I get to know everything about the client. I contact the treating physician, family members, palliative team, etc., and prepare for every conceivable eventuality. I drive my clients to appointments, assist with incontinence and constipation issues, bathing and exercise. I prepare simple meals, do the laundry, keep the house clean and shop for groceries. I make my clients feel loved and appreciated. I've done the TB test and completed a First-Aid/CPR course. I have submitted to a complete background check and am registered with the California Dept. of Social Services. I'm responsible, reliable and dedicated. References available.

Anyone looking for a sweet but strong woman to care for your loved one- that's me. My previous work experience has taught me to identify peoples needs, to help them in making decisions, feeding, getting up and down, putting on socks and shoes, even giving them rides.
