I truly believe to be an excellent caregiver you must put the clients needs & feelings first. I strive to make sure all my clients maintain their sense of normalcy and dignity. I have experience with caregiving for clients that are under the age of 10 & over the age of 80. On a personal note: I was my mothers caregiver for the last 2 years of her life. She was on & off of hospice while she battled a liver & lung disease. Currently, I'm a Respite Worker for clients that have a range of health issues. (Downs Syndromes, Deafness, Autism Spectrum Disorder) I have completed my Senior Caregiver training required by the state of California to attain a license as a home care aide. I have also completed several Carelinx education courses & I am open to taking any class my client might request. My goal is for future clients & their families to feel ease of mind that I am a capable caregiver.

I cared of my wife who was sick and on palliative care as well as home hospice care for two years before she passed away.

There are many women in my family who have worked as caregivers for seniors and adults or children with disabilities. My eldest sister being one of them, has worked in this field for 20+ years and she is what first attracted me to caregiving. Her dedication to the job insprired me most. I started working with her at 18 years old when one of her patients needed more assistance. She would recommend me to her employers (family members of the patients), I would be interviewed for the job and usually get hired right away. The most common compliments I have received during my work experience have been that I am very sweet, gentle and patient. The part about caregiving that I mostly enjoy is building a relationship with the person I am caring for. I have built some unforgettable relationships that I will forever cherish. A personal achievement I am proud of is my ambition in regards to my education. I have an associates degree in Psychology and Science. I will be applying for the nursing program at Miracosta College in Oceanside, CA.
