I enjoy helping others. I am friendly yet professional, caring, honest, dependable, I have integrity. I believe that everyone deserves dignity in their care and I believe that family caregivers also need breaks. It doesn't make one weak to ask for help it makes you stronger. It is an opportunity to recharge your batteries. Caring for children with special needs can also be very taxing on the family unit and they need that moment to recharge. That is why I offer respite care. I was a CNA for 3 years and have been a respite provider/caregiver for nearly 4 years and I am now in my second semester of the Nursing program at VVC. I am a Navy veteran and mom of four. I am originally from TX and moved to CA in 2012. I love people and animals. I enjoy connecting with new people and can pretty much get along with anyone. I have been caring for family members a very long time ago, which is how I began my career in caregiving. To add to my 25 year experience, I recieved and worked as a CNA in assisted living, convalecents and home health. Although, I currently don't hold my CNA license anymore I still carry the work experience to my case loads if needed. I enjoy the 1 on 1 patient/client care and companionship that I offer while they are comfortable in their own home. To add to my experience as well as compassion, I also work with Special Education elementary students supervising and assisting with daily living and educational goals for school district.

12 years experience working in nationally known oncology hospital. I was laid off when my family member was on home hospice care and FMLA couldn't hold my position.

I'm 44 years old, that has 2 daughters ages 26 & 14 I have a 4 yr old Grandson. I've been a Caregiver at age 12 til present. I still take care of my disabled veteran dad & he's 70yrs old that has had multiple operations from Kidney, gastrointestinal & brain. I took care of my Grandmother til Aug of 2019 she passed from dementia. As of present, I work 4 days a week 8 hrs a day. At different hours, he's a close family friend he's 79 just had hip surgery...So I LOVE taking care & helping others especially Seniors that can't do for themselves.....I'm a honest, reliable, respectful, a Very Clean woman.
