I went into healthcare right out of high school and have been in the field since. I love providing care for all ages. Its my passion. I'm currently in school to continue my education in nursing. I volunteer at my local animal control. I am very passionate about animal care and protecting them from abuse. I current foster animals to get them ready for their furever home.

I deliver direct personal care supporting the families of an elderly individuals. Responsible for a plethora of duties ranging from scheduling appointments for medical care, ensuring attendance to extra-curricular activities, and aiding in the completion of household errands and maintenance of both properties.I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where I can have one-on-one interaction with others putting a smile on there face knowing I have achieve a goal of happiness, love, and trustworthy. Care giving has been my passion since I helped care for my father who suffered with congestive heart failure & diabetes. The last senior I cared for told me that I was one of the kindest people he had ever met. The elderly has a wealth of knowledge that they love to share about life and their experiences. I enjoy their appreciation for being their caregiver and they seem so grateful. I treat them the same way I would like to be treated and the way I would like my family members to be treated if needed care. As one of the noblest professions, a caregiver has much to offer in terms of compassion and care.

I have always been a care giver in one way or another.I was a mother of 5 and little sister of two spoiled older brothers.I love to do crafts, gardening, also love animals. I just moved to country and have cats, dogs, and pigs.I love being a caregiver because I am dedicated to my patient - my friend.I make them a part of my family at work and after.My hours may stop but I never quit being their friend.I know my job, I'm am very secure with my experience at other jobs and there outcomes.I would like to start the New Year with you and your family.

At the age of 17, I got my first job at a nursing home as a nursing assistant. Out of all the stereotypes and negative perceptions I initially had of the elderly individuals, were immediately replaced with countless experiences which proved that the elderly was not at all defined by their wrinkles or gay hair. Instead, they are human beings with life stories that can change lives and perceptions, make a difference, and perhaps save our generation today. It was then I began to realize and appreciate my passion and purpose in life; which I truly believe is serving the elderly. My family and friends would always describe me as this nurturing and caring individual. I was never expected to have experienced problems or issues that my loved ones would bring to me, but they have always thought of me to be this empathetic individual that could visualize myself in others shoes just enough so I could understand and help them find a solution. Throughout college I gained even more experience working with the elderly as a home health aide and traveling nursing assistant. In 2014, my dear grandmother became very sick and suffered from a stroke. I had just graduated college and did not plan to move back home. Although there were others that could help take care of my grandmother, I felt as if no one else in the family would take out the time to understand her needs, or have enough patience to deal with her. Not only did I move home, but I would sleep with my grandmother every night just so I could make sure she was at peace. My grandmother never wanted to leave the house or do anything unless I would accompany her. It was not because I was her favorite or had experience working with others her age, it was solely because I obtain the qualities and personal traits, as I mentioned above; necessary to take care of my sweet grandmother. This is a small synopsis of my story.

1) I started taking care of my grandmother at 15,and doing missionary work in church with her or to the public.She made me make a promise to her that I would never stop assisting others who are ill. 2) The drive and determination of my career has kept focused and grounded to know this job is about helping people live again. 3) Going back to college to obtain my BA in Healthcare Management. 4) I am dedicated to my patients and I fell in love with the attributes I possess when it comes to being empathetic to others this is my calling and I loved it from the first day I started my career as a CNA/HHA.

A good caregiver is someone who is compassionate for the person being taken care of as well for their families. I became a caregiver from taking care of my grandfather for most of his life and my mid-adult life until his transition on March 2, 2011. He was ninety-eight years old. Our relationship was wonderful. We were inseparable. An elderly person needs someone that they can confide and trust. I am most passionate about the wisdom that these clients can give you that will impact your life. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is that after you are done with your assignment the family is pleased with the results that were made. I like experiencing that I made a difference in someone's life.

I am compassionate about helping people. I've been a cna for 35 years. I started out in High School volunteering at a nursing home after school, I would help the patients with their dinner, read to them, and just provide companionship. I just love helping people. My greatest achievement would be when someone tells me how much they appreciate me.
