I took care of my father, in our home, for over 8 years before he passed away on Mother's day 2019. I managed his medication, cleaned the house, made his meals, washed his clothes, helped dress and gave him baths. I assisted him in walking and eating. I delt with insurance companies and doctors offices. I took him to and from the doctor. Changed bandages and just sat and talked to him. I now take care of my mother, in almost the same way. I love to help people and make them feel better in any way that I can. Taking the stress off the person and their families is a way, I feel like, I can make that happen. I have learned a lot (hands-on) and a personal achievement I'm proud of, is learning how to pull community resources to assist the families I help.

I have a calm personality, and I am a very giving person. I started as a caregiver when I was in my early teens. I took care of my childhood friend who had cancer, and also my grandmother, father, and mother. Being a caregiver is the most satisfying work I have ever experienced. When I see my client smile, it fills my heart. I am very proud to have raised my son and daughter who have both turned out to be positive role models for friends and both have a strong work ethic.

I am a very out going person i enjoying putting good out in the world, i never judge anyone i love everyone reguardless the situation. there are not many good people left and i figure if we put out good maybe it will spread. I am caring and very compassionate. I enjoy helping others. It makes me feel good about myself. You have to be happy with yourself before you can make anyone else happy...and I enjoy doing that for others that are down and out. I took care of a husband and wife for three years until they passed away...I miss them terribly. I told them often that they helped me just as much as I did them. I helped them physically and they helped me mentally.
