I took care of my aged father who suffered from stroke for ten years before he died. His high social demand at this time motivated me to be elderly supporter. Hello, I have been a caregiver for 15 years. What made me decide to help and take care of people, when I seen my grandmother at 15 years old dying from colon cancer in a nursing home. Why I feel I am a good caregiver is because I treat people the way I would want to be treated, with respect, honesty, and reliability. I cared for my mom 4 1/2 years ago on hospice care in my own home, she died in 2012 from endometriosis cancer. I know I did the best I could, and I am glad I was there for her like she was for me.
