I became a registered nurse right out of high school. I let my license lapse so I could stay home and take care of my family. Now of course I went back to what I love which is being a caregiver. I'm somewhat of an overachiever. I strive every day to make sure the patient feels secure and well cared for.Their happiness is my happiness.

I have wanted to take care of people since I was 12 years old when I was taking care of my mom with chronic pancreatitis. I have been in the medical field for about 6 years. My experience ranges from being an adult foster home to assisted living to home care and nursing homes. I have my certified nursing assistant license and I finished my Medical Assisting just waiting to take the state exam. I have the compassion and knowledge needed to take care of people at the same time as keeping as much of their independence as possible.

Hi, my name's Kaela. I have enjoyed working with older adults since I turned 16 and started my first job at a retirement community. I'm compassionate, caring, social, and love getting to know new people. As the oldest child, I've always taken on the caregiving role for my little sister and this is what spiked my interest in healthcare. My favorite part about being a nursing assistant is spending one on one time with residents and helping them to feel and look their best. I'm currently a student at Central Michigan University. I have a neuroscience major and am working on a gerontology minor. I hope to attend graduate school to become a physician assistant specializing in hospice or geriatric care. One fun fact about me is that my favorite animal is an elephant. Last summer I volunteered in Thailand for a month at a rural health clinic. While I was there I had the opportunity to swim and hike with "retired elephants" at an elephant sanctuary!

I have been a employee of my grandmother up until2010 when she herself was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer she was our last resident and she opened our business when I was 8 I stayed from 8 to 19yrs old and took care of her as I said as we closed the doors I know how to do everything from bathing to meal prep specific meal instructions as well as wound care end of Life Care hospice palliative as well as patient-based I have no prior commitments or religious preferences or views as far as that

I am a mother of a sweet 4 year old boy, and one on the way! I am a wife, a Christian and a kind hearted friend to all. I love working with the elderly and caring for them. There is something so special about being trusted to care for someone in there final stages of life. I have worked closely with dementia and Alzheimers patients, as well as holding the hand of a woman as she took her last breath.
