Hi, I currently provide nanny, housekeeping, companion care, specialty, senior and home health care services. I specialize in assisting families with part-time, occasional, as needed, short-term, date night, etc. My background includes being a current LPN, Have a Bachelors in Social Work and was an addiction counselor for 5 years and am now enrolled online in a business degree. I love the variety that my job provides me. I began providing daycare services when I was 16 and was a licensed provider in Anoka county along with being a crisis care provider. I have a valid recent background check and can provide references. I look forward to speaking with you regarding my qualifications. I am a very patient individual and believe that communication is the key to resolving most difficulties in life. I decided to end my 5-year career as a counselor and enter into self-employment as I love working with the very young as well as the elderly and knew there was a real need for families who had difficult to fill hours. I have 4 children of which 2 are military and 2 teens at home. I am a single mom who enjoys nature walks, being involved in the church and living a serene and quiet lifestyle. Reading, riding motorcycles and walks a few of my favorite things to do. I have a 19 year professional background in providing care to people in assisted living, home care, long term, and rehabilitation facilities. I am skilled and experienced in; dementia care, hospice, mental and physical disabilities, chronic illnesses, rehabilitation, geriatric care, and infant care. I am looking for job security, great pay, teamwork, benefits, wonderful management, and growth throughout the company!
I became a Caregiver because when I was about Fourteen my Grand Father became very ill and my Mother would go to his house everyday after picking me up from school, and we would take care of him. We would help him out with his everyday living needs, such as bathing, dressing, eating, And just light cleaning in his home. From then on I've always had the passion to help/take care of others.
What I like about being a caregiver is making others feel more independent, by helping them with their everyday needs, or anything else they need help with. And also being there so they can talk when they need someone.
A personal achievement to me is just a simple one, I once worked in a nursing home for about two years, and it was always an achievement to me when me or another one of my co-worker put a smile on one of the Residents face.
I am a friendly person, I love to help others, And I am always ready And willing to learn something new in life.
