The elderly has a wealth of knowledge that they love to share about life and their experiences. I enjoy their appreciation for you being their caregiver and they seem so grateful. I treat them the same way I would like to be treated and the way I would like my mother to be treated if she needed care. I've been working in this field for over 6years now and I wouldn't change that. My biggest achievement is to grow with the families I work for. I am also CPR/1st AID CERTIFIED.

I have had opportunities to work with clients that had health issues such as Alzheimer's disease, Dementia, Strokes, Parkinson's disease and other age-related disorders. I have worked 12/24hours and I have worked as a live-in caregiver. I truly find my profession rewarding, because of the 'one on one' attention I can provide for my client. She's raised their kids and I grew up watching her and seeing how fulfilled she was by caring for the family and that immediately sparked my interest. I also love to help people. Seeing people in pain or distress makes me want to do whatever necessary to alleviate that pain. Which is essentially the thing I most enjoy about being a caregiver, helping those who can not help themselves. It's very rewarding at the end of the day. Getting up every morning to be of assistance to these families and their loved ones to render my best services is a personal achievement every single day being a caregiver.
