I'm a Dental assistant who loves caring and helping the older generation! My step mother was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis) in 2005 and she is currently bed bound, and has been for 5 years. Taking care of her motivated me to become more active in the community by helping someone on my time away from my dental office! In 2017 I joined a company and was assigned to a couple. I've been taking care of them since! They fill my heart with joy every time I see them!

I am a great caregiver because I'm a very outgoing person and compassionate with a big heart for the elderly for they hold special place in my heart. I actually was a Nanny for 5yrs and when she started school I wasn't needed, but the family set me up as a caregiver with a friend of the family. She was 94 yrs and was a sweetheart with spunk. I've learned how to take care of catheters, feeding tubes, suction machines, colostomy patients, paralyzed patients, stroke patients. I took care of my Mom who had COPD until she passed and I worked night shift with another patient while doing that. Then When that patient passed away I started with another. Then I finally ended up having to take care of my Dad which I'm so fortunate I could. Now that he has passed I'm ready to start back caregiving for others. This experience allowed me to care for my parents who I loved with all my heart and so thankful that I could.
