My name is Angie Brown, I have experience working in skilled facilities and also assisted living. For the last few years I have been doing home health care. I love being able to help families out and hopefully make a difference, its a very rewarding feeling, I'm proud of the way i take care of my clients and treat them with respect and provide them with the best care possible, I am covid vaccinated and cpr certified.

I absolutely love the career I am in. This is my calling. I have 9 yrs of experience helping families with their loved ones. My heart is full of love and I believe I am suppose to be in this field of caregiving. I enjoy every part of it. I listen, I pay attention to detail, and I am a honest good hearted person, that loves to bring a smile to someone else.

My mother was a caregiver so I decided to follow in her footsteps. I have 18 years of home health and 11 years of hospice care experience. I'm proud of my personal achievements of obtaining my cna license later in life and making employee of the month on several occasions.

I started providing care for individuals when I was a mere sixteen years old. My first experience was taking care of an Alzheimer's patient, and this forever left a lasting mark on me. I found a passion in enriching the quality of life for those who want to continue to stay in their own home, and have always striven to provide the best care for individuals and couples. I have a wide range of experience, from dementia and cancer and hospice, to mobility assistance and stand-by safety care. Hello my name is Ashley and I realized I'd like to take care of people and animals from a young age I have a very loving heart and sometimes it gets me into a mess but I only see the better in people that they do not I'm outgoing I can make you smile and laugh on your bad days beat the shoulder to cry on or the ear to listen when you need it. I think I'm a good caregiver because not just that I care so much for my client but I am ready to go as far as they are without pushing them or nagging them. I try to address myself when coming in a room so I don't scare anyone in said room. I lost my fiance of 8 years to cancel I've had family that said cancer or died from alcoholism and I just try to see the better and people and help as much as I can even with everything I've been through I still have to make sure that people are getting the right care that they need

I was working as a housekeeper in 2004. I was approached and asked if I would love to be a caregiver! I prayed about it and said yes! I felt like God put me where I'm supposed to be. My experience has gave me 18 yrs of many fond memories, relationships and wonderful people have crossed my path! I feel that people cross your path for a reason, season or a lifetime! One thing I have learned about myself throughout my nursing career is how much I enjoy the elderly population. I have experience in large nursing homes, small home to individual care. The intimacy of individual care has me hooked! Really getting to know a person, what they really enjoy, that's what it is all about. I was lucky enough to have had my grandparents in my life till a couple years ago. I took care of them at the end, as tough as it was, they had a beautiful end of life. To me, that is the most important thing. To allow and encourage them to do what makes them happy while offering the support they need. That could be something simple like having that favorite meal, going for a ride to a favorite place, or just having someone to talk to. It is my responsibility to ensure they are able to enjoy life, and I am committed to doing all I can to make them smile each day.

I took care of my mom who had uterine cancer for 3 years. After she passed my dad got sick Had to have a pacemaker and had multiple aneurysms. And then he got cancer. I also cared for my mentally and physically handicapped sister who developed non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. All over a span of 10 years. I've cared for one gentleman over the past year and a half and I'm hoping to pursue a nursing career in the spring

I consider myself a facilitator of healing and learning, which includes being a caregiver. Helping people to achieve their highest level of functioning is what healing is all about which usually includes the process of clients learning new skills. Having been a nurse for 39 years, I have worked at one time or another in almost every aspect of nursing and health care, including many different settings in hospitals, Long Term Care and in the community in group homes, general home health care and community mental health as well as Utilization Review and Education and training. What I have most enjoyed is being able to integrate some of the more holistic aspects of healing and health care into my everyday positions (eg. Nutrition, Stress Management & Relaxation, CranioSacral Therapy, Therapeutic Touch, Color & Sound therapy, etc.). One of the most successful cases I have worked on was a little 8 y.o. boy who had suffered a severe anoxic brain injury after being in a diabetic coma. When I met him, he was confined to a wheelchair, barely able to move more than a finger on his one hand, was fed through a G-tube, not able to walk or talk and required total care. It required intense dedication from his family, assisted in their home by nursing, PT, OT, Speech and many volunteers, but by the end of my time with him 2 years later through an integrated program utilizing many modalities, he was able to walk with a brace, his speech was much improved, he had started toileting himself and was able to eat by mouth again, GT removed. His vision was still not optimal, but had improved significantly and he was able to start attending school again. That was real healing which I was very proud to be a part of!! I can only hope to have opportunities like that again.
