I am a dedicated State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA/CNA) with over 15 years of experience as a caregiver and have provided care to individuals in different settings. I value integrity and compassion as key in pursuit of my career and strive to achieve this with the principle of treating people how you want to be treated. I started caregiving as part time while in college and it turned out to be a humbling and rewarding career for me. Approximately 15 years ago, I became my mother's Caregiver after she came home from Rehab for a major stroke. After working in a Family Medical office for a couple years, I began my Caregiver career. In the past 10+ years, I have worked as a Home Health Aide and CNA, providing many services to families and their loved ones, including (but not limited to) Alzheimers, Dementia, Quadriplegic, and Hospice Care. Services provided include companionship, transportation, meal prep, feeding, light housekeeping, pericare, input/output, taking and recording vitals, catheter care, colostomy care, medication reminders, assistance with bathing, showers, dressing, transfers, wound care maintenance, and oxygen maintenance. My special focus has been with Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I am a CNA and certified in CPR and First Aid, and continue to work on completing additional medical courses and pursue avenues to help strengthen me as a Professional Caregiver. I also maintain current Individual Professional Liability Insurance. Your loved ones peace of mind, comfort and health is my priority.

Hi my name is Julie:) I became a caregiver after helping my own parents. I have been caregiving for over 10 years. I didn't realize there were so many people in need. I have learned so much and continue learning. I'm so passionate about caregiving for I also was in a wheelchair the first years of my life as a child. Now I'm healthy and strong, but I know what it feels like to be dependent on people and my best strength is to anticipate your needs before you have to ask. I lived in California all my life. I just moved to Kentucky. I took care of my beautiful mom and a wonderful lady for over 6 years. They both passed away within 6 months of each other, broke my heart to pieces. I have family in Kentucky and decided to move. I've been here 2 weeks and ready to start my life. When your caregiving, your a care provider, friend, advocate, and grow so close and love the people you take care of. This profession has enriched my life, and it's my calling. I got into caregiving on accident. I was looking for employment and a friends suggested I apply at her job which was Alzheimer's assistant living. I got the job and realized I loved it! I became state tested and have been in this line of business for 14 years. I love taking care of people who can't fully take care of themselves. There is pride in helping others and I am humble that God chose me to be the voice and care taker for some who can't express their needs and others who just need help along the way. I am proudest of accomplishing my PCA II which is a promotion from PCA acknowledging I am proficient in my level of expertise and care. I am also a safety coach and a proud member of the safe patient handling committee at my current employer that looks at proper ergonomics and equipment that keep both the patient and caregivers safe and free from injury. I do not have a car but I do use Lyft and Uber to travel if that's okay.

I am very loyal and trust worthy. I became a Caregiver because as a teenager, my family took care of my grandfather who was bedridden and had dementia. I was in charge of his breakfast and morning medicine. I found much fulfillment and dedication to help those who can not help them selves. My personal achievements that I am so proud of, is that of the personal relationships I have made throughout my career! One client asked me, "Why are you so nice to me?" I replied, "Because you are my friend." She nodded her head and smiled ear to ear! That one moment brought me so much joy and satisfaction! I was born to be a caregiver!
