Even though I do not have a C.N.A certification as of yet, I truly believe I'm every bit as skilled. I did not choose to become a caregiver it chose me, back in 2005 my husband was in a accident and became a quad needing full care, I became his caregiver, he passed in 2009. I then realized this was my calling as I was born with a servants heart. I was very good at what I did because my heart was in my work. I went on to become a resident manager for several years in DD and Senior Care homes, moved on to do one in one care, furthering my education yearly according to my clients needs, obtaining EQC certification as well as resident managers licensing . I have excellent references and do not quit my jobs, I care for my clients until the very end. I'm very reliable, trustworthy, honest, caring and compassionate! I was turning 18 and I was told I needed to work that my schooling was over....Immediately I started searching for a job that gave me flexibility and helped others....so I was a first female Chicago Firefighter....I then moved back to Calif. and put myself through school to become a nurse....I did 10 years in the emergency room, then home health, hospice, pediatrics special needs, elderly. I like to think fast on my feet and I became pretty good at nursing....I gain respect from the doctors that I have worked with for my ability to describe the need a patient has even if it's immediate......I am a cheerful, responsible, giving individual that would help thoses who ask..

Hello, my name is Rachelle; I have been a CNA for 17 years. I have worked with all kinds of disabilities, and ages, with a wide range of care, from trachea, and g-tube, and Nj tube patients. I also worked with memory care patients, and patients with mental health problems. I have worked with medical fragile children, and kids, and adults with Autism, and other developmental issues. Most of my work history have been with the elderly, and hospice. I am a Christian, and believe God gives us all gifts, to display is imagine in us, and being a CNA is how; I show other's his love by taken great care of him, this is not a way of getting a job, it is the truth.

I have been in Oregon for five years, prior to coming to Oregon. I was the home healthcare lead for Visiting Angels of Scotts Valley. I never would have left the job even with having completed my EMT certifications as I loved my job so much. I moved to Oregon to be able to buy a home and give my kids a safer environment. I have a child with autism and I have a lot of experience in that area. Working with Visiting Angels I did a lot of work and conjunction with hospice and was a very valuable member of the team to help people transition at end of life. When I came to Oregon, I worked in a locked facility managing a unit for dementia patients. The company had a lot of problems so I moved on. I took a job with VCA and worked there for four years before I thought I would try to go back to healthcare. Working for healthcare and a facility was just not a good fit for me. I am at best served and my patience are best served in a private environment where I work directly with the families. I spent a year in upper management most recently working with severely mentally and physically disabled adults who were violent. I gained several certifications during that time. I am highly skilled and highly experienced and really enjoy working with the families and the patients. I am currently back in the veterinary field justice part time. Looking to add a few days a week back in private home healthcare. Lastly, I also care for my own mother who is in her late 70s and I am very proud of how she is doing. I'm open to meeting a family Prior to taking on a working contract to give them the opportunity to meet me and see if I'm a good fit for them. I've never had anybody unhappy with my care. Generally, I believe families find me kind and courteous and respectful. I know you're not allowed to ask but I will let you know that I am in my early 50s. And with that comes patience, maturity, and experience. I have a Subaru Forrester that is newer & transporting clients is no problem.
