I'm a jolly joyful individual. Determined honest and my smile can light up a room. I was attracted to being a caregiver by helping my great aunt at young age. I then knew it was my passion to help others in the same predicament. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that I provide my best services to someone's aunt uncle mom brother sister or grandma makes me feel amazing knowing I did my best helps me to sleep at night . A personal achievement I am proud of is finally deciding to put myself first and take on my major goals of life.

I have always had great compassion for those who are sick, the elderly, and disabled. I began my caregiving by volunteering for Hospice for seven years. CNAs happily taught me how to do bed baths, empty urinals, and even how to change bed linens with patient still in bed. I am comfortable, and have experience in just about all facets of caregiving, which includes personal hygiene, including bathing, feeding, safely transferring patient from bed to chair, etc. I am comfortable using a Hoyer lift, and have changed and sanitized urine bags. Upon moving to a new city I began doing home caregiving as a way of paying my bills, and family recommendations kept me busy. I have enjoyed caring for the ELDERY with all kinds of medical problems, and DISABLED people, as well. In addition to passing the background check required for this site, I have a LEVEL II BACKGROUND CHECK which is far deeper than this site requires. I have taken and passed the HHA test, although I did not take the class. I am CPR certified, have had a two step TB test, I presently work for a local caregiving agency, but they are unable to provide me with enough hours, so I am eager to get full time hours! I have many references I can give if you are interested in knowing more. I prefer days, but I am open for any schedule.

I believe you need to have a passion for caregiving to be a good caregiver, which I developed as a young child. My mother has been a caregiver since I've been a little girl and I would go with her at times to do Meals on Wheels on days off from school. I would also want to tag along when she would volunteer at the local nursing homes. I would see the excitement on their face and feel the reward of being there with her. From those moments I knew I wanted to follow her foot steps. You can not treat caring for someone as " a job." You must treat the individual as you would your own family member by being patient, kind, understanding, sympathetic and loyal. I have the experience and know what to do in many situations. My name is Tiara I'm 25 years old, when I was 18 my grandmother fell ill and there was nobody that we felt could give her the around the clock skilled care she needed without going into a facility (which nobody would have allowed to happen) so I began caring for her myself, following under the direction hospice had given. I began turning her as needed aiding in her mobility so she wouldn't lose the use of her legs, hand over hand feeding her. Anything she needed I was there and I realized I didn't just like to help but instead it gave me a good feeling to know I was doing more then just assisting I was a companion. She was no longer"down in the dumps" it's a wonderful feeling. I'm a very honest easy going person, I've got a habit of always seeing the brighter side. I enjoy reading and cooking in my free time. Im currently awaiting my test for my cna certification and soon after I will be bridging to LPN.
